Google Drive times

Ever do a Google map trip for somewhere you were going only to find the times are way off? I just did NJ to Corrolla NC and Google maps had it over 9hours. Guess it's my fault by not trusting my Garmin by telling me it was around 7 hours. (made it in 7:15) Seems to me whenever i use google I can shave off 30 mins to hours. Just don't get it. And no I don't have a extremely heavy foot just a mild one

I love google maps (and bing/microsoft) because I always feel like I've done well. Some long trips I can beat their time by 3- 4 hours . I also beat my GPS time. I keep track of the minutes I'm ahead. Rest stops are almost like pit stops. In and out as fast as we can so we don't lose our lead. Drives my wife crazy .
