Just heard from someone at park and they were loading riders. If anyone is there...please go ride it and give a report...pretty please.

We just got back yesterday and the only people riding were castmembers. Sort of a cast preview/testing phase going on. We went over there after seeing people on the ride, but it was not at a soft open stage for regular guests.

On Facebook it says it officially opens on July 1st. Darn.... I'm there from June 26th-30th!!!

Maybe there WILL be a soft opening for guests early this week??

We are there now. Soft opening for guests. My 3 kids are in line. I would guess it's about a 20 minute wait.

Julylady plz post what they though...I hear it is pretty much MM.

Not a great report. Of the three riders ( ages 24, 9 and 6) only the six year old liked it. They said it was extremely jerky and the braking whipped you forward but not in a good way . Themeimg in the wait line was better than the ride itself. They said " no one gets off the ride smiling.". Sorry! I wish the report was better!

Well that doesn't sound great... hahaha. Although I'm travelling with a 6 year old, so maybe it will be all good! Thanks for the update:)

The ride IS exactly the same as MM, the ride itself didn't change. Same track.

That's what I was wondering. I thought the ride itself was staying exactly the same and it was just the theme that was changing. If so, I'm not really interested. MM was never one of my favorites. Although my kids do enjoy it.

Yeah, the first time I went on MM I remembered it being fairly fast. Then in recent years- everytime I went on it, I liked it less and less.

To be honest, I think the retheme is cute and all, but I'm hoping when we are down there next week, they have soft openings of the new restaurants! (not gonna happen, but I could hope)

This ride was just outside our room when we stayed this week at DVC. Watching the cars go around the track, it looked just as I remember MM. We saw CMs on it a few times.

It figures that soft openings are today - we came home yesterday!

We rode GSS twice yesterday (Saturday) morning. As you might imagine, the Disney imagineers did their best to make the best of a bad thing. I like what they did with GSS compared to Mulholland Madness. It is more worth a visit now that it used to be, and makes the ride feel much more Disney now.

Trey, I hope you were posting this from the gates of DL, waiting to get in for MM. Looking forward to a TR from you. :goodvibes

Callie this will really date me, but I came out to SoCal this week for my 30th high school reunion. DLR was a bonus trip. I did the reunion last night (after a half day at DLR) and am bone tired today after 3 days at DLR beforehand!

I really want to get some kind of TR together today because I have a saw a lot of interesting things. See if I can muster the energy. :goodvibes
