Goofy's Kitchen

Hi All! Taking DK to Goofy's for breakfast to celebrate. It is going to be a surprise - any ideas on excuses to get over there? Where in the hotel is it - can we go "look around" and end up there easily?

Also any pics of the breakfast would be welcome - we've never done before, but here the food is amazing. What characters can we expect? I'd like to do a scrapbook page for signatures for her.

Okay, first of all, J.C.andAli'sMom posted some fantastic photos of the Goofy's Kitchen breakfast/brunch spread on the Dining thread yesterday, in 2 or 3 different posts!! Here is the lilnk to that page, and just scroll down:

Goofy's is located right next to Steakhouse 55 in the DLH. There are ways to approach Goofy's where it is not really obvious what you are doing, but I can't quite explain them. You would have to see the layout.

I have been eating at Goofy's Kitchen since 1992. It's definitely my favorite. LOVE the breakfast! If you check out my Trip Report (link is in my signature below), I have lots of Goofy's character pictures spanning December 1992 - December 2008 sprinkled throughout. In fact, the picture in my signature below, on the left hand side with Reindeer Pluto, was taken at Goofy's a long time ago.

The regular characters are Chef Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Baloo. There are also rotating guest stars such as Minnie, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Jasmine and Aladdin, Aurora and the Prince, Belle and others who pop in here and there. Breakfast tends to be slightly slower than dinner time so there may be fewer characters out and about, but I prefer the breakfast choices over the dinner choices. Both meals, however, have TONS of options. There is such a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from, and the quality is great, so no one will go hungry. Everyone should be satisfied!

"Oh honey! I heard that they have really cool waterfalls/koi ponds/a Neverland Pool at the Disneyland Hotel! Can we go look?" Then when you're at one of those locations, "Oh honey, I heard they have n old Autopia car inside the 'Marina' Tower! Can we go check that out, too?" And voila! Goofy's is immediately across from the old Autopia car. "Well, while we're heeeeeeere....."

What if you told him there was a great place to have formal pics taken with Disney Characters? Go for the entrance pic and he's there.

Thanks for the ideas! I just got my packet and we were short a few vouchers - so I need to go the the office in Downtown Disney, but DK doesn't know that.

The Autopia car is perfect! DK is a shutter bug and will love the opportunity. I can say we need to go the the office by the Autopia car - that way if I need to ask directions I'll have another point of reference

If I remember right, coming from the main entrance to DTD, the Disneyland hotel is right at the end of DTD.

There is the Sorcerer hat, and I believe the entrance in back of that is the same entrance to Goofy's Kitchen.

I may be wrong, but this is what I remember from last year.
