We are trying to figure out when to go. We are staying at the Embassy Suites so we have free breakfast everyday. We have one EE and the only day we can use it is Thursday( we will be in the park wed, thurs, and friday). Is it worth it to do it for dinner? We could do the breakfast on Friday am but that is the only day that the park opens at 8am and I have the feeling it will be packed.
Would appreciate any feedback
thks

It depends on the age of your kids and their desire for characters. I have never done the dinner though, and I never waste a character breakfast for peak park hours (we usually do ours the morning of the last day of our trip when we will not be at the park). For us the character meals are all about the character experience, and not about the food!!

Hi. We have done both the dinner and breakfast there. The dinner does cost a fare amount more. Have you considered going for the last seating of breakfast which is almost lunchtime? You could be at the parks at opening one day and then go to Goofy's for a brunch and a nice break. Then head back to the parks after. We have had good experiences with getting a lot of character interaction being the either the first or last seating for a meal.

We always do a breakfast during our trips. We usually get a 7 am reservation, which I believe is the earliest. So that way were really not missing much time in the park. We also will never do this on our first day. Usually near the end of the trip when were already pooped out!

We now only do Goofy's Kitchen for dinner rather than breakfast. We once spent $90 for dinner at ESPN zone for 4 and it didn't even include dessert. So we have no problems spending a little over $100 for dinner atGoofy's Kitchen where we all can get the prime rib, drinks and dessert and character interaction. On our last trip we did Goofy's kitchen twice. We did breakfast there a few years ago and there was no difference in character interaction for breakfast and dinner. For our family the difference between breakfast and dinner was roughly $20 which we'd gladly pay since we're getting more than just eggs and waffles.

We spent a lil' over $100 for dinner in June. However, it was so worth it! This has to be the BEST character meal you'll get anywhere! (and we've done almost all of the ones at WDW and have already done all the ones offered at DL) Goofy's Kitchen gets our #1 vote! :)

So go for dinner or go for breakfast...just make sure you go! :thumbsup2

I agree with the late breakfast/brunch advice. That what we always do, get the latest seating we can. Hit the parks at opening, then right when everyone else starts arriving, we've done quite a bit and are ready for a break.

I've done both dinner and breakfast and actually prefer the breakfast food. The dinner was nice but there were not any stand out menu items for me. And there was no difference in character interaction. So I'll stick to brunch and save a little money.

We did dinner at Goofy's Kitchen on our last night and it was a great meal. Our DGS5 enjoyed seeing Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Aladin, and the Fairy Godmother. All the adults thought the food was great including the prime rib. But for the character breakfast we didn't want to leave the park, so after our EE we went to Minnie and Friends breakfast at the Plaza Inn. The character intervention there was great. The characters all spent alot of time at each table and most returned a second time. Minnie, Chip and Dale, Capt Hook, Tigger plus several others I can't remember were there the whole time and the french bread was excellent! Don't think you could go wrong with either.
