Hi! Considering taking my 5 kiddos(ages 2-11) the first night we arrive before heading to the parks the next day for dinner to meet characters & get them excited for Disneyland! Wondering about anyone's recent experiences with food, characters, how busy, etc. for dinner? Also specifically what characters did you see? Any princesses at dinner recently? TIA :)

Goofy's doesn't have princesses any more. Or anyone random at all. It's a set rotation of Goofy, Minnie, Chip, Dale and Pluto. No more, no less.

I would still go if you can do it on your arrival day. It's a great way to kick off the fun. But it's a lot less fun (IMO) since the character change.

That's good to know! Last time we went there was alot more characters but that was in 2008. :/ What did you think of the food?

Food was typical buffet stuff like we have had there in the past. We don't go for the food, we go for the experience. So I really only notice if it's really great or really terrible. It was neither of those.

Is Stitch no longer at GK? We went in April last year and they had all those you mentioned plus Stitch. Going again in November and want to book there again.

Stitch is only at the breakfast at Paradise Pier.

We were there in November. The above characters were there. We had a lot of fun with Chip and Dale, a first for us. We had brunch, which was pretty good. I'd put it up there with Golden Corral, without Jeff Foxworthy. A

And if you want gluten free food, talk to the chef and they will have plenty of GF waffles, desserts, and other goodies.

We just returned from Disneyland, and we did Goofys on Thursday. We enjoyed it. They have salads, Mac cheese, hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, carving station, vegetables, soup, fruit, ice cream and plenty of desserts! We love Goofys for dinner! Great Character interaction and food. We like to book and early reservation, around 5 thru 530. It's not too busy, and characters come to tables more often, in our experience. Have fun, its a great place to eat as a family!

We enjoy Goofy's Kitchen for dinner on our arrival day. I think it's a fun way to kick off a trip, especially if your kids love meeting characters. The last time we went, Donald Duck was there along with the regulars. I have no idea why, but it was a nice surprise- he is my son's favorite. As for the food, it's your typical buffet-style items. VERY kid-friendly and has always been good but not memorable. GK is my 5 year olds favorite place to eat at Disneyland.
