Okay, I know this is a personal decision but if you have been to both which would you recommend for a 9 year old ds. We are already going to Ariel's Grotto for dd who is 5 but thought we should choose one that my ds would enjoy for another day. Also which time of day was the best for either of them?

Any help would be great!!!

To me the answer is which characters does your ds enjoy most, lilo and stitch or the ones found at goofy's. I finally decided on goofy's kitchen because my dd likes those characters more, (and of course we are doing the princesses....)

My DDs (ages 6 and 10) enjoy Goofy's Kitchen. A LOT of different characters show up -- princesses, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Captain Hook, Pluto, etc. My 6-year-old DD who still likes princesses gets to see them. My 10-year-old DD, who's a tomboy, gets to see the other characters as well. Expensive place to eat at but satisfies everyone with different tastes.

Lilo & Stitch....all the way!!!

It has much better food, is cheaper than Goofy's Kitchen and the character interaction was awesome!!!!

We did both last month. The food at the L$S breakfast was a little more exotic. For a 9 year old boy I would choose Goofy's Kitchen.

We just recently did both and my vote would be for Lilo & Stitch breakfast. It was just more relaxed and character interaction was great and not rushed at all! the food was really good! enjoyed the fresh strawberries & omelet bar! and the price was much cheaper and no automatic gratuity added like at Goofy's...plus service was much better at Lilo's & Stitch bk.

Just my opinion :earsboy: :earsgirl:

have a wonderful trip!

My son loves Goofy's Kitchen but really enjoyed the breakfast at the Lilo and Stitch one. In fact, that was one of the funnest character meals we have enjoyed at either WDW or Disneyland. Goofy's does have a wider variety of characters, including a princess or two most of the time, but my son who is 11 loves Stitch and loved playing the games Stitch and Pluto played with all the kids. I think you can't go wrong with either. Also, I may be wrong but I think the Lilo and Stitch one might be a tad cheaper.

I just went there (Goofy's Kitchen) yesterday. The Characters are still fine (though fewer this time- early morning. 6 characters on a busy floor?!) The wait staff is almost as clueless as we are.

The service is slow & the-i-dont-care-attitude. I wasted 30$ on that place yesterday. Should've gone to a better place.

The service dropped by about 15 notches. I love the food and character interraction, BUT when they are putting an Auto tip on, FOR A BUFFET and then never come by to pick up the dirty plates or refill the drinks.... I have a problem with that. Especially when my family of 4 pays a $21 tip for dinner. I am afraid if I went again and the service was as bad, I will go back to the front desk and request that the tip be removed. A tip is or service. If enough customers did this, they just might make some changes.

I absolutely agree!! I can't believe that. We'll see in March if that happens. Has anyone tried the new "Minnie and pals" character breakfast at the Plaza in Disneyland. I need to book PS and thought we might try it-something new.

If you're family is not of a big eater then the one at the Plaza Inn would do. Even the ala carte is big, it's almost good for two people. A bit salty (potroast) but manageable.

The only plus factor about Goofy's is they open early. Again the SERVICE SUCKS, a middle schooler can do a better job at attending to your miniscule needs.

We did Goofy's and Plaza Inn breakfast 2 weeks ago, and enjoyed both of them. We must have lucked into a good server at Goofy's because she kept on top of our table of 12 very well refilling drinks and removing plates. The food selection at Plaza Inn is more limited because it's really just breakfast food (which was fine with us). A plus for us was that Plaza Inn had fresh strawberries and Goofy's did not. Plaza Inn also ends up a bit cheaper because there's no tip added (you get your own drinks). I can't remember if someone ever came around to clear our plates, but we were sitting outside towards the end of the breakfast seating, and we just set our used plates on a nearby empty table. They also brought around helium balloons (for free) for the kids at Plaza Inn which was nice. Characters were Minnie, Tigger, Eyeore (maybe Pooh too), Captain Hook, and Fairy Godmother.

Well, Goofy wins! We really wanted to get an early start on the day and Goofy's was available at 8, Minnie's not until 9:10 when the park opens. We'd much rather be riding than eating at 9! Let's hope we get a great server!
