My Disneyland snowball is picking up speed! ( For an explaination of the Disneyland Snowball Effect see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1883560&highlight=disneyland+snowball+effect ) I've ordred the PhotoPass Plus that comes with ride photos (yeah!) and a character meal photo. It would be a shame not to take full advantage of the PhotoPass Plus so... now I'm thinking of Goofy's Kitchen for brunch. But it would just be DH and I. He loves having breakfast out so that would make him happy. I'm looking at the Saturday morning we leave since we are blocked out anyway and it would be a fun last Disney thing to do. Has anyone does this as a couple without children. Would it be awkward when characters come over? I would take a picture with them, but we don't need to spend time "chatting". Will we feel out of place without children? Just wondering how it would be.

Not at all! I've seen plenty of people in there without kids. I'd probably request a table away from the buffet area (where the characters dance), but not having kids wouldn't stop me. :)

I am looking at Goofy's Kitchen that way too. Only doing it on a day where I am not going into the parks. Either on our arrival night or our departure morning.

I did breakfast there with a girlfriend a few years ago and didn't feel awkward at all! You'll be totally fine and it sounds like a great plan!

We have done it twice without the enterage and have had a great time. Last time we had 7 characters stop by and chat(if they can) and was much fun. We do go as soon as it opens in the morning though.

DH and I ate there in September. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary on that trip, so no kids with us! I remember Chip coming to our table and signing our (paper) tablecloth and really interacting with us. We had a table just on the other side of a short wall from the main buffet area. Very nice and relatively quiet. We also went first thing in the morning as well.

Ok, good to know. Thanks! It sounds like 7am should be a first choice for times then as opposed to 8am.

I know lots of adults that eat there without kids and love it! Go and have a good time!

We hit Goofy's Kitchen all the time as adults. We skip the photo at the entrance and the characters seem to "adapt' to the crowd at the tables depending on who is there. Been lots of fun.

The wife and I have went by ourselves and loved it! Brunch or dinner, either one. The characters still come by and are just as friendly as ever...:cool1:

We did a character breakfast at WDW on our honeymoon (apparently the snowball effect works there, too!) This is before I realized how uncomfortable characters make me feel (we always avoid them at the parks) so I don't know what I was thinking booking this, but we were on the Disney Dining Plan, darn it, and we were going to try EVERYTHING. Lol. Anyway, looking back, we still had a great time. The characters all stopped by, but they could tell from our lack of reaction (no squealing or camera ready) that we didn't need them to stay long. My favorite part, though, was watching them interact with the pre-school-age kids and babies. I think that was worth it, which is why I'm considering doing the character breakfast at Aulani.

Ok, I made reservations for Goofy's Kitchen at 7:30 am on a Saturday. Off topic, but when I called she noticed my Carthay Circle reservations and said I was smart to call at 60 days out because now it's all booked up. I don't know if she meant that day or that week.

So, I'm excited. I think that will be a fun way to end our trip.
