Hi all-

First time going to Goofy's Kitchen. Should I make ressies for Breakfast or Dinner? Both have characters right? Any preference?

Thanks!:cloud9:

Ive always done dinner, and have gone about 7:30 and have always had GREAT service and it wasnt too crowded. Lots of fun!

Either meal has characters.

I prefer character dining for dinner. My reasoning is that at breakfast you are more likely to be missing time in the parks when the lines are short.

Thanks MysticPath! Do you know if they dance and do the side show in the evening like they do during breakfast?:flower3:

Yeah they do. They have a little area in the middle of the restaurant by the buffet where guests can join some of the characters and dance around, and bang on little drum type things. There were 6 of us adults and we all joined in after dinner to do the twist. It was lots of fun.

:goodvibesThanks Mystic Path and SkiingFast!

I think I'll make reservations for dinner at Goofys!!

You will have so much fun. We enjoy Goofy's over any of the Character dinners. Its just great interaction, and good food.

I love Goofy's - that is a must-do for almost every Disneyland trip I take (since 1992!) - but I fall on the pro-breakfast side. I was not crazy about the dinner when I had it but, admittedly, the dinner I had was years ago and things could have changed since then. Plus, dinner is more expensive than the breakfast. But some folks just prefer a big dinner over a big breakfast.

Either way, the buffet is huge so you will have tons of options at either meal, but there seem to be fewer good reviews of the dinner than the breakfast.

Goofy's opens at 7:00 a.m., so you won't miss any park time if you do breakfast! And you have a full 90 minutes to eat and wait for characters.

Hi
Though is dinner is more expensive than breakfast we always prefer that time.
It's less crowded and you don't have to spend precious morning hours at breakfast when lines for rides are shortest.

I am a 100% with you on this. We have done the breakfast early so we don't miss any action at the parks & our dinner experience was not as nice as our breakfasts, the interaction (in my opinion) is better during the morning & so is the food.

We always do 0700 on a non-MM day, waste no park time. Also love the dinner after a long day in the park.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I kept wavering back and forth for days...(even considered doing both breakfast and dinner LOL)...but ended up on dinner! DH decided he wanted carved prime rib for dinner if he was shelling out $ for a meal.

Either way it is a win-win! Hopefully next trip, we'll do breakfast. :lovestruc

If your Husband likes rare or medium rare, you can forget it. The beef is good but typical buffet. English cuts

We have done both many times, but like the dinner better. My kids LOVE the dinner there, and I think it is very good too. Lots of good main dish options, and I love the salads. After eating all that rich food at disneyland it feels so good to eat a big green salad with all the fixings.

I love their salad fixins and dressings. Many, many choices and really a great buffet, but I think timing has a lot to do with the frshness of the food.

We did a late character bfast on MM day.
We had a muffin in the am before the parks and then at 10:30 a long leisurely bfast that kept us full until dinner and allowed us to recharge after the early start.
