We will be arriving on dd's birthday. Was thinking of doing Goofy's kitchen for dinner. I've seen some things online about birthday buckets or extra birthday packages with decorations. Most were older posts. What birthday add-ons are currently available and what do they include?

Thanks!

They have a princess 'chest' which has a small individual cake inside it. I don't know how much it costs, sorry. Nor can I tell you what else it comes with but you can order this when you check in for your meal, pay for it then and they can tell you more about it. I am also pretty sure others who have had this chest will be able to tell you more about it.

We did the Pirate chest for my son several years ago and he loved it. I just can't remember what it came with besides the cake.

Make sure you get her a birthday button too. The characters will take note.

Here is the info from the DLR website:
Order a Disneyland Resort Personal-Size Party Cake

Celebrate your birthday with a meal at a full-service restaurant in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park or the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and add to the fun with a Disney Princess Jewelry Box or Disney Pirate Treasure Chest! Each comes with a special surprise and an individual cake! The Princess Jewelry Box and the Disney Pirate Treasure Chest are available at full-service restaurants, Character dining locations, and through Disney Hotel Room Service.

Price: $15 each, plus tax.

Are you staying at an onsite hotel? If so, you could do an In Room Celebration as well, but they are limited to what they do in the restaurants.
On a side note, I have not heard good reviews regarding the treasure chest cakes. I hear they look nice, but taste terrible.

My son ate most of his but not all, then said it wasn't the best cake he has had because my cakes are the best he's had. So I wonder if it is hit and miss. Thanks for putting up the info for the OP.

As far as I am aware the above posters are correct about the princess/pirate cakes being the only add ons for meals right now. We did the princess cake for my little sister's birthday back in May and the cake was pretty good. It came in a plastic pink "treasure chest" and had a mirror that you get to keep as well.

Thanks. I don't know how I missed that on their site. We're staying off-site.

That is good to know. Hopefully they have a decent baker now. It sounds like such a cute idea and special surprise...and for Disney, the price seems reasonable.

Thanks for the info! Considering the price of everything at DLR, a $15 add-on cake to a sit-down meal sounds like a fun surprise. Putting this on my list of ideas for when we visit in the spring -- our first day there is DS's 8th birthday!
