After a movie at the Pleasure Island AMC and lunch at Earl of Sandwich (which was great), DH, DD and I stopped by Goofy's candy store to get some dessert. WOW! Before even entering the store, we were greeted with sweet smells that I couldn't quite figure out but smelled so good. The store is atleast twice the size of the one next to Earl with everything you could think of and more! Lots of prepacked candy with the Disney touch lined the walls. Dispensers with all the jelly belly flavors and other bulk type candy were there too, you fill the bag to what you want and pay by the weight. I did not notice the different colored M&M's like I've seen at MGM but really wasn't looking for them either.
In the middle of the store, they have 2 large glass cases with the fudge, cookies, rice krispie treats, etc. My husbands favorite, a large iced Nemo sugar cookie and my favorite, the raspberry white chocolate macademia nut cookie were both there.
The best part of the new store though was just past the cases. You fill out an order form and they make your creation! My DD picked the 4 marshmellows on a mickey straw covered in milk chocolate, covered in mini M&M's and drizzled in caramel. You hand the order form to the person at the counter, watch them make your creation, they put it into the freezer to set and then call your name over the loud speaker when its ready. It was melt in your mouth good (it was also 90 degrees in the shade today so that had something to do with the melt part)! I only glanced at the prices and noticed the apple being the most expensive at $5.50 and was charged $2.50 for the marshmellows.
The order form reads:
Start with: apple, pretzel rod, marshmellow, biscotti, gingerbread Mickey cookie, Mickey krispy rice treat
Dipped in: caramel, milk chocolate, white chocolate
Topped with: oreo cookie crumbs, mini white chocolate chips, assorted sprinkles, chopped peanuts, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, mini M&M's, crushed Butterfingers, milk chocolate drizzle, white chocolate drizzle
We will visit this shop everytime we are in the area!!!!!
