We didn't go in last time because my 7 year has a peanut allergy. Wondering if it is all bulk candy or if they have individually wrapped items like lollipops or even tootsie rolls or smarties?

Yes, if I remember correctly when we were there in October, they did have different types of bag candy, as well as bins of candy you could scoop out yourself that they sell by the pound..

I know that they have small-ish bags of candies. It's probably way too much for an individual serving, but they were definitely separated so you wouldn't have to worry about allergy foods (and there would be the appropriate labels to read)....They also have a wide selection of lollipops - regular and chocolate. I'm sure you could easily find something!

BUT, if your child has a severe peanut allergy (like the peanut dust could be a problem) I would hesitate to go in because they do have the design your own section with nuts and peanut butter cups etc...and they also have candies in their cases that are nut covered.

Probably more info than you need!

Yes they have individual wrapped candy as well as some bulk candy. There are things with nuts in there so be careful. They also sell icee type drinks and you can make your own pretzel stick, rice krispy treats, and other items. Some of their items may be purchased as snacks on the DDP.

Myself it it was my child and they had a peanut allergy I wouldn't step foot in the store, I don't think they can moniter every piece of candy that is there. Now that is my opinion, maybe you could go in and get something for him, I was just there, they have all kinds of candy and candy shavings to put on the candy coated pretsels and apples and such:)

They have candy in bins that you put in a mixed bag and pay by the pound. They have candy that they make there behind a counter. And they have prepackaged candy that is made and packaged at a different location.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm trying to balance the treat factor because I have 3 other kiddos who want to have treats and frequently can't. My little guy wishes every birthday wish, penny in the wishing well and prayer that he will lose his peanut allergy. It breaks my heart everytime.

I actually use some of my snack credits that are left over to get things to take to the grandkids when I am home. The last couple of years we were able to get the SMALL plastic container of cotton candy on a snack credit and our grandkids love that. I hope we can get it again in 23 days.

I just got home from Disney and the credits could not be used at Goffys kitchen, that was a bummer for me because I had 12 credits I wanted to use there.

i, too, have a ds w/peanut/tree nut allergies... we have been in goofy's but every time it's been a disappointment... even the bagged stuff was not safe, as it was manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts/treenuts... the only safe thing we found were little tins of mints (big deal! not!)

what we did find, however, was that a few wdw locations were starting to carry the divvies brand of treats which are safe for nut allergies... we found them in main st bakery in mk and the food court at cbr (not at bc/yc food courts, btw)... we stocked up when we found them so when the other kids were hitting the candy co. ds had some sweet treats to choose from...

good luck!

Gail T, You couldn't use any snack credits at Goofy's?

Nope none at all. I did call up because I thought you could and if you look at the pamphlet that gave you on the dinning cedits and snacks credits you can see that is not on there I used them a while back for snack credits, guess they have to be used it the parks or at the hotels not DTD

That's a bummer...I was planning on going there first thing and using credits for treats to eat in our room.
