DAY 4 - 18th December 2005

Weather Report: Cloud and rain. Cooling in the evening, but dry.

Meeting Lorraine's Family and MVMCP

We had made plans to meet Lorraine (BWalker) and her family in MGM today for lunch. So we thought we would head out there first thing to get a few rides in first.
Arrived ay 9:30am and headed straight for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, as you do! But it was broken! But they were still dishing out Fastpasses, so I grabbed on incase they managed to fix it.
With FP in hand we headed to Tower of Terror. The line was around 15 mins. I can't remember how many times we dropped! I do remember my camera floating up past my eyes at one point though!
Nicola wanted to do Star Tours, so we headed over there to be greated by a 5 min. wait :)
Out RnR FP time was here so we headed back to see if it had been fixed - and it had - yippeeee.
Had a bit of trouble getting out of the car at the end. I had put my Christmas Goofy hat on the floor and couldn't pick it up! Until I realised I was standing on my Goofy ears! The CMs came over to see if I was OK. When I said I was standing on my ears it seemed to amuse them!

It was time now to make our way over to the ABC place to meet Lorraine, Tom, Mike and Lauren. We waited outside for them, and of course, they waited inside for us! We finally managed to meet and sat down for a nice meal and a catch up on news and gossip etc.

Dining Review:
Me - Fish and Chips. Very nice meaty fish.
Julie - Fish and Chips.
Nicola and Jade - Kids Chicken Nuggets with fries and fruit.
Drinks - 4 cokes
Total cost - $27.63

After lunch we did the Muppets Show and then made our way to the new Stunt Show. We hadn't done this before and really enjoyed it, especially as Julie has a Corsa :) (I did warn her not to try the stunts in hers. I had visions of her handbrake turning onto the drive!).

We said our temporary goodbyes to Lorraine and family (we were meeting them tomorrow in Epcot) and headed back to the hotel via the Great Movie Ride, to get ready for MVMCP :)

We got to MK about 4:45pm and entered using our APs. They were letting people in with just MVMCP tickets though. We decided to take advantage of the park closing and went to do the new Stitch ride - what a waste of time that is!
Next we did Space Mountain (5 min wait) and then Buzz (I won :) ), and then hopped on the Transit Authority for a nice rest.

As it started to rain we headed to the rose garden to get our MVMCP wrist bands. We wondered round in the rain and grabbed a drink and sat in the rain under a brollie :) When it stopped, we headed for the front of the castle where there was a roped off area for MVMCP folks. We stayed there and watched the 'Celebrate the Season' show. After the show we decided to grab some food from Cosmic Rays.

Dining Review:
All - Chicken Strips and Fries.
Drinks - 4 cokes
Total cost - $37.41

After dinner we rode BTMR (great in the dark!), Splash Mountain and then headed back to the castle to watch the Holiday Wishes Fireworks, grabbing some cookies on the way. After the fireworks we headed back to Main Street to find a nice spot for the Christmas Parade. It was lovely sitting on the kerb watching the snow fall :)
We really enjoyed the parade, it's quite a long one!
It was 11:30pm now and we were all getting a bit tired, so we decided to head back to the hotel.
We enjoyed MVMCP, but it is difficult to see every show and parade without some careful planning!

That was one busy day Tim, I'm following your report to see where you were and to see if i was there too. We were at Epcot in the morning and at MVMCP in the evening. MVMCP was really nice, shame about the weather though, but that didn't bother us. The parade was lovely too, did you get your photo done?

Good day Tim, A long one aswell by the sounds of it. I think I would have been exhausted! :teeth:

Great day Tim ~ Thanx for sharing.

Great day Tim. You must have been shattered, though. MVMCP sounds good. Did you enjoy the stunt show? I found that when they told you how the stunts were done, it ruined it for me. Don't think I will be bothered about seeing it again but DH probably will want to.

Another great report Thank you

Sound like a busy day, I chickened out of doing splash mountain in the dark.
