DAY 3 - 17th December 2005
Weather Report: Showers am and cloudy and warm pm. Cooling in the evening.
AK and first ADR in Epcot
We all woke quite early and again voted to skip breakfast and head straight to AK. Arrived at AK around 8:45am and as it was an EMH morning we walked straight by the queues and flashed our room keys
As always we headed straight for the Safari and walked stright in with hardly any wait
After the Safari we headed towards Dinosaur and did It's Tough to be a Bug on the way. Again there was no lines for Dinosaur so we jumped straight on - Julie was determined to open her eyes all the way round this time. She's ridden it about 4 times in the past and hasn't opened her eyes once yet!
When we came off she said he had her eyes open for some of the way, but as soon as she saw the first dinosaur she closed them.
After Dinosaur we crossed over and did Primeval Whirl, only one track was working so the lines moved slowly. It was still only about a 10 minute wait though.
Hunger was beginning to set in, so as Restaurantasaurus was about to change over from breakfast to lunch we waited outside the doors. Just after 10:10am we were let in.
Dining Review:
Me - Burger and fries with bacon. Nice burger with plenty of toppings from the bar. Liked the bbq sauce here more then the Charlesworth one at other WDW counterservies places.
Julie - Burger and fries with bacon
Jade - Burger and fries with bacon
Nicola - Cheeseburger and fries with bacon
Drinks - 4 cokes
Total cost - $37.05
I wish they would let you have straws in AK. Drinking the coke that's full of ice gives my upper lip frost bite!
After lunch we headed over to watch the Lion King show. One of the best shows in WDW
After a quick tour of some shops we headed back to the Dolphin for a rest. After getting drinks from Tubbies, we explored the beach and pools.

Jade decided to try the hammock on the beach. She managed to get one leg on and then the whole hammock turned upside down and dumped her in the sand.

Julie just happened to be filming her at the time and had trouble holding the camera steady at the same time as trying not to pee herself with laughter! One for 'Your've Been Framed' I think LOL
After showing off my skills on the basketball court we headed back to the room to prepare for an evening in Epcot.
We had a reservation for 6:30pm at the Marrakesh restaurant in Morocco and arrived early at 6pm. They told us our table would be ready soon, and called us about 5 minutes later.
Dining Review:
Starters - Combination appetizer for 4 (beef brewat rolls, chicken bastilla and salad). Very nice.
Me - Shish Kebab. Very nice.
Julie - Lamb Meshoui. Lovely, large piece of lamb.
Jade & Nicola - Chicken Kebab. Thunmbs up from the girls.
Puddings
Me - Bastilla for one (could have been for 4!)
Julie and the girls - Marrakesh delight. Seemed to go down well.
Drinks - 4 cokes (free refils)
Total Cost - $117.19 (with DDE discount)

After dinner we walked back to Future World and rode Spaceship Earth. Couldn't resist getting some nice Christmas hats on the way back to World Showcase
(I had a santa hat with Goofy ears, Julie had a Tigger one, Jade a Stich one and Nicola a Minnie one).
We took up position for Illuminations between the Outpost and Germany. I went off and got some slushes while we waited.
When Illumination started we soon realised that we were in the wrong position. The wind was blowing the smoke from the fireworks towards our side of the lake! Can't remember there being that much smoke before - must have been the weather. At one point we couldn't even see the globe for the smoke!
The special Christmas ending to Illuminations was something else! So loud!
After the show we took a slow walk back via the Yacht/Beach Club.
