Well I have to say day 2 started off better than day 1. We woke up to beautiful sunny skies and very hot weather. We were heading to the Animal Kingdom park today. We slept in, we decided that this year we were going to take it easy, stay up late and sleep in and then go to the parks when we got up. The kids on the other hand did not see it this way and they decided to wake us up when they wanted to go. So we were up and hungry by 8:00am. Headed down to Tubbis and got some breakfast grub...5 people another 5,000 dollars. Of course my kids are not big breakfast eaters but on vacation they decided to get 1 of everything take a nibble and leave the rest. DH would finish it all. We caught the bus to Animal Kingdom and when we arrived headed straight for Bug's Life. We love this show, or we did last year. DH and I still loved it but for some reason the same show we had to see over and over last year scared the kids this year. They all hid their eyes and didn't want to go back in. After that my youngest with the broken leg said he wanted to go back to the room he said he wasn't having fun. We didn't think the heat would bother us because we are from Texas and there is no heat like Texas heat...right? Wrong, we forgot that there is a heat worse than Texas heat and that is Florida Heat plus humidity, you get two H's for the price of one. My little guy got past his desire to head to the room when he realized he wanted to go on the safari ride. So we headed that way. The lines were short and the crowds very manageable. We got each of our kids a disposable camera and we let them use them however they wanted. I think its fun to see things from a kids view sometimes. My youngest was determined to capture all the animals on the safari, so he would look up at the placard with all the animals on it and then he would try to find them and get a picture. He would shoot the picture like it was a gun and he would say "gotcha" and move forward with the shot, so I don't think he really got anything, time will tell. Of course every person has to ask "oh you broke your leg....You got the best ride in the house...lucky you". My DH would get tired of this by the end of the day and say oh yea well let me break your leg and see how you like to be trapped in that chair in 90 degree heat.

Then of course there is the person that asks.."did you break your leg?" My husband said no he just likes to wear a cast...Here is your sign.

We rode some other rides then left the Animal Kingdom for MGM. Usually we don't spend a lot of time at MGM but this year we loved it and it seemed to be the best park for us. There were no crowds and the kids loved star tours. We must have ridden star tours 5 times. then the 3d Muppets which is GREAT! We missed the Millionaire show but got to see Indiana Jones. On the bus ride over I lost my camera, it was velcroed to my backpack and it must have come off on the bus ride. What a bummer. Now my DH was responsible for all the pictures with his Digital Camera, and his views are usually from the rear...."Look this is my family at MGM" as you see our backs walking past the Pizza Planet. He takes the pictures the way he sees them from the backfield. He says he is back there to make sure no one escapes, I think he just enjoys the view. We did most of the rides and shows here, my DD loves the Beauty and Beast show. then we headed back to our room for Fireworks. Great view of Fireworks, got some dinner at Tubbis dinner is a little more expensive, 5 people 6,000 dollars. But the kids liked the Pizza and the service was GREAT! Headed to the Dolphin Fountain and got some great Ice Cream and Shakes...2,000 dollars. We were famished, we forgot to eat lunch and didn't get dinner until late. That won't happen again.
Tomorrow would be Epcot and another trip to MGM but that is day 3. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

hubby would get a made to order omelete and I ate the whole special.....the staff at tubbies were fantastic too......I feel bad for your little one ot have a cast on in all that heat too.......Iknow what you mean about the stupid questions from people...but people still ask them......thanks so much for your great report......I relived our trips from the last year.......
