Who has done the create your own pretzel sticks etc etc in downtown disney?? What is it like??? what different items can you make?? how much are they?? any pictures?? Thanks!
I have gotten the giant oreo and the pretzel rods. You can also get rice krispie treats, marshmallows and carmel apples. It is very fun to make your own combinations. And if I remember correctly the pretzels are less than $5. I am making plans for my next trip. HHHHMMMMMM.
We've done the pretzel rods and they were fantastic!! But no photos. We were able to use a Snack credit from the DDP for them. Did see a young man who had an apple created and it was incredible. It was the largest apple I had ever seen and he said he wasn't sharing with his Mom.
There is an order form where you choose what how you want your pretzels prepared -- if I'm remembering correctly -- you get three large rods. I had each one of mine done differently. I can't remember the exact combos, but I know that Carmel, Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, M&Ms, Reese PB Cups and maybe Oreos was involved.
I will say that it did take awhile to have them made. It was not a quick process. I would say and this is probably worst case scenario -- allow 30 minutes from start to finish -- because once they're finished -- the CM places them in a cooler to set the items.
I can hardly wait to get another order in October. May have to order some extras to take home.
We went for the first time last year & plan to go on our first day this year! I got the 3 pretzel rods, all with different toppings. Took several days to finish them! DS got a cookie but I can't remember what he had it dipped & topped with.
Goofy's may be the thing we are most looking forward to on our upcoming trip! Really a great use of a snack credit or two .... or 10!
My husband and I did this last week. He got a Mickey rice crispy treat covered in milk chocolate and peanut butter cup pieces. It was huge! I went wimpy and got the pretzel sticks covered in milk chocolate with caramel drizzle. The lady making them even asked me, "Is that really all you want?" My pretzels were delicious (hubby said his was good too), but the PP is right--it did take a while to get them done. I'd love to do it again, and probably will when I'm back there in October.
My favourite is the crispie treat dipped in white chocolate and then peanut butter cups, and finally a caramel drizzle. Mmmmmm.....
I love sweets but could not finish it in one sitting. It took me a couple of days to get through it.
It's a very easy process with lots of choices but as someone else pointed out, it does take a little time because they put the treats into a fridge to harden the chocolate.
My advice is to read the whole sheet of choices before actually ticking anything - the woman who made a treat just after me, looked at mine and said "Oh, I wish I had chosen that - it looks so much better than mine - I ended up ticking the first couple of things I saw."
It's not the best photo, but this is the CM making our choc. covered pretzels. Yummo! My kids want to go to DTD just to go to Goofy's Candy Co.! (Not that I mind.)
I just checked out the pictures never knew that I could be more excited than I already was. I can't wait. We totally missed Goofys Shop on our last trip.
Does anyone know if the gingerbread Mickey cookies are available year round or only at Christmas time? We normally go in December and I always get the ginger-Mickey, but I am going next month and I really want that cookie!!
do they give you a sheet to order from and then you just hand it to them when you are done or do you just walk up and look at it with the CM and tell them? I cant wait for this!
