Stopped at two Goodwill's today and found some bargains:

Hollister polo in great condition for my son
Landsend cardigan in great condition for me :)
Books 1-12 of the Remnants series for my son
Several (5?) books for myself
Two storage jars for my craft room

I think that's it. Passed up a Disney figurine clock thing. It was about five inches at the base and said "When Walt's away" and it had several Mickeys doing things/making plans, etc. It was marked $4.50, but I couldn't see how the clock part would open to replace batteries. I don't need anymore sit around things or I probably would have got it. Wonder how much it was new?

I really wanted to get out and go to the thrift stores, but I have been sick. Looks like many of you are scoring big time.:thumbsup2

We actually have that clock. I have no idea how much it retails for (it was a gift that my DH got) but I will tell you that the darn clock will not stay in! It falls out ALL the time! But on a "normal" one it just twists out. I am assuming ours got bent at some point (it is at least 6 years old). But I love that thing.... It is super cute!

there have been good finds lately.

This was not a Goodwill find but a Kohl's find. My DD needed a new coat. I went to Kohl's today and found a short, button up black coat. It was mostly polyester but looks wool. It was originally $68 marked down to $26.99. When the cashier rang it up, it was $10.20!! (before tax). After my $10 Kohl's cash, I paid 47¢!!! That will probably be the cheapest winter coat I ever buy.

We have that clock. It is a great reminder of our first family WDW trip in 2004. Back then, before the DDP existed, we had what they called "Magical Wishes". We used wishes for dining, merchandise, child care, etc... We got the clock with one of our wishes. The battery stopped working long ago and I never replaced it, but it still looks cute on the mantel.

Congrats on all the good scores, too! I love a good buy at the thrift stores.

Tuesdays are senior discount (25%) day at our Goodwills here. They consider 55 & over as a senior. Last week I bought a queen size comforter with matching sheets/pillowcase for my grandson. It was still in the plastic zip up thingy. Took it home and washed it and he loves it. It was less than $15 after the discount and is made by Westpoint Pepperill.

I found the Cinderella Castle playset today at my local thrift store for $10! It had all the pieces and working batteries. The same one is $89.95 at the Disneystore.

I picked up several American Girl Craft Kits, a Hello Kitty Doodle Messenger Bag, a couple of kids science kits (meteor rocks and rockets) all new in packaging, salvaged from Target at our Goodwill today. Perfect for the Easter baskets!:thumbsup2. Also found a US flag flown over the USS Arizona Memorial, still in packaging with authentication slip included. I'm a history buff, so I loved that find!

Holy Guacamole!!!!:jumping1:

One of the things we did was we got a free VCR from someone who was getting rid of it, and we hit up the local thrift store for Disney movies. 2/$1, so we were able to really build up a huge collection for $10! We have movies that have been in the vault for a while, so I'm really really excited about that. My girls were scratching the DVDs and it was getting to expensive.

Two nice vintage (made in the USA) small Pyrex bowls with lids, they just don't make them like they used to, I love the old ones! $4.95 each :thumbsup2

Today's Goodwill bargains: I stopped there today because we're leaving in a week for Disney, will gone over two weekends, and I'd rather not do laundry, so I thought I'd see if I could get some cheap shorts and tops. Well, didn't find ANYTHING for myself, but I got DH 4 gorgeous golf shirts, looked like they've never been worn, and 2 pairs of very nice shorts; got DS17 a great pair of shorts; 6 paperbacks to read on the drive down and back; a Dunder Mifflin (from The Office) messenger bag that DS is going to love carrying around the parks with his school choir; another bag that I think DH will use at the parks; and a (possible) Kate Spade bag, that I promptly put up on ebay (with a disclaimer -- there's a Kate Spade tag, but I'm not a bag expert) -- all for $32!!!!

I scored a pair of boots for DS at Salvation Army that were $5 and a pair of Gap pants for him for $3, and when I got to the register, all clothes and apparel were an additional 50% off!! (Wednesdays at the store in Brockton, MA LOL) I was so excited! We got a few other things and managed to spend a whopping $9 - it was awesome!

Swoon!!! Love the vintage Pyrex! I just picked up a vintage Anchor Hocking loaf dish at the Goodwill for $2. It looks much better as the centerpiece of Sunday dinner then the old metal pan did!

not goodwill, but a similar local store ..yesterday I got a Fossil leather purse in great condition for 4.25...:cool1: since I already own a similiar one,I think I'll list it on ebay, they are selling for around 40.00 right now:woohoo:

Nice find. Thrift stores are a good place to get purses. The good quality ones hold up well but after a while people get tired of them so they get donated. At least that's how to seems to me.

I found a brand new mens Disney World t shirt with the tags still on it in the "new clothes" section for $3.99 :cool1:
