I was wondering what kind of cute things any of you all put together for little kids to have in their hotel room on a trip at disneyland. Any ideas on little special things you have done for kids would be appreciated.

We are going to Disneyland in April for my son's 5th b-day and I wanted to do little cute things for our two night stay.

Thank you!

I am planning on doing this as well. So far on my list is a disposable camera and autograph/scrap book, Disney stickers, and a Disney t-shirt I will buy somewhere here and bring down to save on expense. I have also seen disney things at the dollar store. HTH!

Without fail, we always buy these things once we get to the parks; autograph book, disney pen, light sabor or light spinner, stuffed mickey or other character...

So this year I bought all of those above plus a little pirate ship and some disney pj's. I bought basic solid colored paper gift bags and decorated them with stickers and the boys names. We plan to put them on the beds of the hotel when they aren't in the room and tell them that Mickey brought them by for them and he will see them later in the park. When I get a chance, I will take some pictures to post. :)

I bought something small for each night we were there that Mickey left in the room while we were at the park. I bought a fleece MM robe at Ross for $6, MM bath toys, Mater night light, Disney coloring books. I bought all the stuff before we got there and packed it with me. He loved coming back to the room to see what MM left him. It would have been hard to pull it off with him in tow at the park.

I did the same with my dd. I found Princess PJ's and hid them in my suitcase, then we got the the room, I put them under her pillow, with a card I made from the Princesses and all the characters, she was so excited.

Also, if you stay at the DLH you can ask for "special Delivery" I did this at check in and that night when we got back from the park we had a message waiting that there was a "special delivery" for my dd. At the front desk she got an autographed pic of the princesses in front of the castle, what fun....(I wish I was a kid.)

I think the small ones without a pen are around $6 and the larger ones that you can put a picture in the opposite page including pen are somewhere around $13-$15. I bought mine on ebay for $3.
We did the special delivery picture thing for our son too. We got Woody and Buzz.

Thanks for the great ideas. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel. To get the "special delivery" would I just leave the items with the front desk or conceirge and they would deliver them or hold them as a "special delivery" at the desk and my son could receive them there?

The planning is really fun. I went to the Disney Outlet Store where they are having a 50% off of clearence on lots of stuff. I got "Dash/Mr. Incredible shirts for my DH and DS for $4 each and a "Dash" hat for DS for $1.50.

I like the idea of bringing items for souveniers with us to cut down on the expensive in park items. I have found some cute stuff at the dollar store as well like Mickey pens, coloring book, and a little red and black football.

I am really having a lot of fun planning special treats for the guys (DH and DS).

Has anyone spinkled pixie dust and left tinkerbell marks or trails in the room. Which I am sure housekeeping hates. What are some good "pixie dusting" things to use.

Thanks for all the ideas, if anyone has pictures of their "special deliveries" I would love to see them.

Thanks!:cloud9:

I found some disney jammies at the disneystore online for $5.99. I am also putting together some disney things in their backpack that they will take on the plane. I have found mickey mouse color books, pens from Wal-Mart for $1 that have a wiggly Mickey or Minnie Mouse on top. I even got the kids new toothbrushes and toothpaste with the disney theme on them. We got some autograph books at the dollar store and then I decorated each page with some disney stickers. I didn't want to spend alot of money on the autograph books at the park and then be disappointed that the kids don't like the characters or if we didn't see many characters to get an autograph. I also found some disney fruit snacks. I am still looking for other fun things to put in. Any other ideas? Thanks!

I ordered Disney character shirts from Zazzle, one for each day, so each night they got a new shirt to wear for the next day, starting the night before we left. The afternoon that we got there they all got new Disney swimsuits, beach towels and flips flops, along with some Finding Nemo gummy candies. That night after getting back from MHT they each found a Disney character plushie(Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Daisy, DisneyShopping Outlet), Disney character pjs, and a Narnia mug(they were dressed as the 4 kids from Narnia for the Halloween party) with a hot chocolate packet, and mini marshmellow packet in the mug.

Each night I did a theme so the night they got their POTC t-shirts they also got small inflatable swords, gold chocolate coins in mini treasure chests, POTC tatoos, and then I placed a pirate eye patch over each of their plushies eyes. Housekeeping did an awesome job of arranging all their stuff to look cute when they did the nightly turn down service. All the pirate stuff I found at a party supply store.

In the target dollar section I also found some Disney journals and pens that the kids got one night I found Mickey shaped gummy candies, and lots of different Disney themed fruit snacks that I also used to fill out each nights theme.

I did have to dedicate a whole large suitcase to all the stuff I took down to leave out as gifts and DH did think I was nuts. It was for four kids, and it was a lot of fun. I've already started picking up small items and stashing them away for our next trip.

I'm going to have to DEFINITELY check this out. Thanks!!!

I bought a bunch of glow sticks and glow heart pops and those spinning lights from Oriental Trading. I also got Minnie Mouse shirts from Target with some other things. We got autograph books from the drug store along with a fuzzy light up Stitch pen when we got to Disney (WDW but probably the same at DL) We also got a cute Dumbo stuffed animal there too. Then I gave it to my daughter the first day we woke up and my poor cousin got hers on her last day, she got sick and never made it to the parks:sad1: We had a great time with the gifts and we gave out a bunch of glow sticks to kids too.

I got my kids a bunch of little things...Tigger slippers, glow sticks, glow braclets, Disney spinners to take to the parade, each a pair of PJ's, each a $50 Disney gift card plus my mom sent them each $40 in Disney Dollars

DD 13 a cute Tinkerbell purse and a bunch of Tinkerbell goodies to put in it
beach towel, journal,Tinkerbell tnak top, Disney PEZ flip flops, Disney plush and some other things

DS 6 CARS duffell bag to fill with a bunch of CARS things (Disney Plush, yo-yo, coloring book, crayons, felt coloring poster with markers, swimming trunks, beach towel, CARS T-shirt, Disney PEZ and some other things)

DD 14 mos Princess blanket, Princess bouncy balls, Disney Plush, Little Mermaid Bathing suit and beach towel, Princess snacks, Disney PEZ, and some other small things for her to play with...

I found alot of this stuff at Wal-Mart, Target, and the Dollar Store....

I always make up a "welcome" letter for DD from Minnie or the princesses and put it on the floor by the room door so she thinks it was slipped under the door our first night.

She usually gets a new Disney shirt before we go, glow sticks for night time (I bring her light spinner each visit) and some kind of disney snack.

Have a great trip!

I've seen several people mention glo sticks or necklaces. Where do you get them? If it's at target or walmart what section? I've found some on e-bay but I don't need 200.

They even have disney suntan lotion which would be really cool and practical. especially if your going during the warmer months.
