Here are some notible TWA firsts:

1 First Flight attendants and inflight meal service -1929

2.First to fly a four engine airliner. -1930

3.First airline to fly a pressurized airliner. -1940

4.First coast-to-coast nonstop flight in the USA. -1953

5.First airline to show in-flight movies. -1961

6.First airline to operate the Boeing 747 within the USA. -1970

We were on the last flight out of Orlando on Sat. The fire dept. sprayed water over the plane on both sides as we pulled out and the workers waved good-by. It was both cool and sad. Being from STL I hope the workers will all keep their jobs but doubt it. Hopefully American will be good for our area.

We were on the same flight as DizneyCrazyMom. It was the very last TWA flight out of Orlando. It was really neat to see the fire engines on either side of the jet as we pulled onto the runway. The kids thought it was really neat to see. It was strange to see the flight attendants taking pictures out the window, too.
