You know it was a joke right? I have been here watching this epic battle of ridiculous rhetoric last night. I agree with the poster I quoted, it's the person he so valiantly is trying to reason with that I think is ridiculous, as well as those who always act like they do know EXACTLY what Walt would or would not want. He's been dead for awhile, so he, just like the rest of us just, has to deal with the decisions made at the end of the day.

The Main Street Bakery isn't going anywhere. Think of it as MSB with better food and better coffee.

How do you know the food is better?

because I've eaten at Starbucks and MSB. While neither is great, Starbucks is far better than anything they serve at MSB right now. IMO, of course.

It's very simply! Basically Starbucks is coming into the parks. Some people might think this is a travesty to their beloved Main St and Disney Parks. More people are excited and looking forward to their Starbucks. The Dis Boards represent a very tiny number of people compared to those who visit the Parks on the yearly basis.

As Josh said over on easy WDW "99.9% of people visiting Magic Kingdom come summer 2013 either don’t care, won’t notice, or will be in line for an iced coffee."

If you don't like Starbucks, don't buy from there. There are countless other places in the parks to get your coffee and snacks from. All those must have treats like ice cream sandwiches and those cinnamon rolls will either be available in the Main St Bakery/Starbucks or they will be elsewhere!

Hmmmmm, not sure where the disconnect is coming from here.... The subject is the closing of the MSB in lieu of Starbucks. You're here arguing semantics.

Not really sure of why there is so much hostility and snarkiness here! There is no right or wrong answer! We are all entitled to our opinions and none of us is "wrong" when it comes to how we individually feel! This is a discussion board for Pete's sake!

People are getting all upset over the fact that Starbucks is coming in to close a "small town bakery, filled with home made treats" It's in Magic Kingdom, there is nothing home made available there! People seem to think somehow Starbucks is this evil expensive corporation. What exactly is Disney? A charity based organisation?

I think I'm in the minority but I just don't like cinnamon rolls.

Next year when the dust has settled, MSB remains whimsical, and the good visitors of MK are happily guzzling their non-Nescafe coffee while attempting to stay in the park until that 1AM EMH closure, we will all look back at this thread and laugh.

Awful! Just Awful. I like Starbucks like everyone else, but really?! Get rid of Main Street Bakery? Terrible.

Read the rest of the thread first and you'll get a better idea of the reality of the situation. Main St Bakery isn't closing, Starbucks is just being added. It will remain the same but with better food, drink and a nicer interior!
