Goodbye Disney Cinema Parade

This weekend will be the last performance of the Disney Cinema Parade at the Walt Disney Studios. After that there won't be a parade at the park for a while, but there will be two different High School Musical shows and Good Morning WDS (a mini-parade) will return.

I won't be sad to see it go to be honest.......it's ok but there's now WOW factor about it. I love the Good Morning fun......yay!

Im glad i saw this last time i went but i agree it wasnt nothing special. I look forward to the HSM parade though lol

I always enjoyed this parade so will be sad to see it go. It's just a shame that there won't be the new one to start straight away ~ I know HSM is very popular but I like my characters!!

i can't believe they're getting rid of it! i also agree there wasn't a huge wow factor to it but i enjoyed seeing woody and the soldiers etc in the parade and i'm not a high school musical fan (except its nice to look at zac efron in the film ) so it's a bit of a loss for me

It's definately the characters that will be missed most, I know a lot are doubled up in the OUAD but where will Tinkerbell or Cruella go

I'm trying hard to get into HSM, my niece was up on the weekend and I had a new Park DVD with the WDS HSM show on, she loved it, so I must learn some of the songs at least although I think my boys will disown me.

My DD loves HSM but we will miss the parade as it holds special memories for us as in 2006 we where chosen to go on mickeys float ,it was a red hot day and it made our holiday it was such a thrill waving to all the people and we all got special hugs from mickey

Yeah it's a shame that the parade stops. However the cast will move to some new stuff: a Mary Poppins show at Town Square and a princess show behind the castle (where the Sword in the Stone show used to be). Wonder how these will look like...

I enjoyed seeing this parade since I love the movies. But, at the same time,
it's good that we have an opportunity to have new ideas and new themes.
It would get boring, otherwise. It's understandablr that the main park con-
tinues with their parade, since it's assumed that more people go to that park,
anyways.

It will be nice to see the new events and attractions at the park when I go
there in September.

I was wondering about Tinkerbell...i think they should move her to the OUAD parade. Stick her on the Peter Pan float or something.

If this is the last weekend for the studios parade, when does the HSM show start? I didn't think it started until the 4th April? Will the HSM show be on next week now? We come home on 4th April and my DD loves HSM - I thought we would miss it? Anyone know?

If I'm right HSM starts officially April 4th, so you can expect it to start April 3, since show usually start 1 day before the offical date.
BTW: I have some friends who work at DLP, that's how I know.

Great pics -it was too wet for us to hang around ,we thought that there seemed to be more than the usual amount of CM in the parade and there was a lot of silliness from characters-chip n dale having a scrap over balloons ,one of them completely ignored the dance routine to wrestle a balloon of a CM!!
