Part of my grandparent's apartment building collapsed this morning! Thankfully, they are okay. My grandma was out of the house at the time, and my grandpa was in the apartment. However, they are still searching for several people who may have been in the collapsed garage at the time.

My poor 89 year old grandpa, who isn't very mobile, had to wait for the firefighters to come up and carry him down 15 flights, after they shut down the elevators!

Not sure of their plans yet, since they won't be allowed back in the building for some time. I think they'll either stay with my dad or uncle, or fly down to their house in Florida!

Thanks. Apparently, at first, they told my grandpa to walk down the 15 flights.

My uncle, who is a surgeon at the hospital down the street, said they are standing by for any survivors.
