Good Walking Sandals?

I have wide feet and just bought my first pair of Tevas and omg...they are so comfortable.

I got the Teva Katavi Thong.

For Disney, I usually stick to good sneakers because I'm more comfortable with the support. But when I'm doing a lot of walking at home, and once or twice at Disney, I swear by my Ecco Yucatan sandals. LOVE those things.

Comfortable shoes is one of my favorite things in life. My favorite brands for sandals are: Ecco, Merrell, Keen, and Teva in that order. For toning walking shoes I recommend New Balance - their version doesn't look different than a normal walking shoe, but you can feel the difference in your rump. :)

I'm another big fan of crocs. If you find that regular ones don't work for you, try the CrocRx brand. They are made a little differently than regular crocs. You can find out more about them on the crocs website.

I have had back surgery and all I can say is that I purchased a pair of Privo sandals and WOW!! I wore them all the time and I can't wait to buy another pair:) I did wear my Privo sneaker like shoes and they are just as comfortable, but, it was warm and my feet needed to breathe before we came back to the cold and rain...I have several pairs of Clarks and they make me feel like I am walking on air...good luck with whatever you decide:)

I hated flip flops and couldn't find a comfortable sandal. Until about 6 or 7 years ago. I had bought a pair of Rockport flip flops I had tried. The toe thong (?) seemed to fall correctly on my foot (the main reason I hated flip flops). So I took them to WDW to use in the airport, by the pool, etc. never dreaming I could last all day in them. One of our days we ended up unexpectedly at the park & all I had was my Rockport flip flops. I didn't even realize it until we got back to the room. My feet were fine. No blisters, no aches, not hot. I swear by Rockport sandals now. I got mine at the Reebok outlet for about $30.
Good luck!

I purchased a pair of "fit flops' flip flop type sandals. Geez, sounds like a tongue twister for a minute. I saw them advertised a few years ago (I have had them for 2 years) at Bath and Body Works. I purchased them online though. I think they were about $40.00. They are the only shoe I have worn to the parks and not had sore feet or blisters. I am a AP member, so I go a lot. My rebook and New Balance tennis shoes hurt after a while and cause my feet to sweat. I think the fit flops maybe a European shoe. Google fit flops and a website should show up. They have many more styles now, compared to the original 3. They have a really thick sole....I love them!

Disney has Fit Flops with Mickey ears on them. They are really cute! I bought a pair last year and love them. Great shoes for the parks and for running around doing errands.

Haven't seen these mentioned yet, so thought I'd throw it in the mix. I used to be a Crocs devotee, as I have a very hard to fit foot ..... 6 1/2 EEEE! Anyway, I have discovered Propet sandals/shoes that come in a variety of widths (yes, even mine) and they have a 1,000 mile walking guarantee. They are super comfortable and are the only thing I travel with now. :cool1:
