Good time to go to Disney...

I just made reservations at the Shades of Green for Feb 1- 11 2004, is this a good time to go? I don't want a lot of crowds. I had gone in April 01' and the parks closed down early everynight for the graduating seniors of the area highschools and that annoyed me. Anyway, just wondering if this is a good time to go, thanks!

Hi jpmom97 and welcome to the DIS. I'm very glad you found us. I think the first part of February is an excellent time to go. The crowds are quite low. I was there in 2002 in February

Thank you! I wasn't sure where to post this. I am so excited to be going to Disney!! How do you get those count down to Disney counters that everyone has?

Yes, jpmom97, early Feb is a great time to visit. IMHO. We just returned from a short stay on the 15th. The crowds are down, and the weather can be very good. The lines for attractions are almost nonexistant. One drawback is that since it is off season some attractions can be down for rehab, but that is not usually too bad.
I almost always visit during Jan or early Feb.

We went the beginning of Feb one year and it was the least crowded we had ever seen.

Welcome to the DIS jpmom97!!! I hope you enjoy it here!! This place is full of tons of information! Historically that time of year has very light crowds and is a great time to go. I haven't gone during that time yet, but maybe one day I can convince my DH to take me for my birthday But many friends have gone then and loved it!!!

We went from Feb9-16 2002, and would not hesitate to go during this time frame again. The only real crowded day was Friday 2/15, (before Presidents Day) MK was packed....but the weather was great, and we really enjoyed ourselves!!!
