Well I'm sitting here underneath my awning in Site 305 at the most relaxing place on earth!! My wife is doing here morning routine in the shower and my 8 year old daughter is giving the TV a break and performing her mandatory 20 minute reading session.

We arrived yesterday afternoon from the Raleigh/Durham NC area, and will be here until next Saturday.

So if anyone needs questions anwered or a picture taken of something specific, please don't hesitate to ask.

We'll be "bumming" around Orlando and campground today, so I'll check back in with you guys later on this evening or first thing tomorrow morning.

Take care! Duane, Claudine & Ashleigh

Good morning Duane and family. Very jealous of you right now, wish i could be there. My family will be going in February during Mardi Gras holidays here in Louisiana.

We requested loop 300 if possible. Site 304 and 305 looked very nice and large enough to hold our 33 ft camper(per Disneycampers.com) Are both site close to end of loop, comfort station and playground? Do they look large enough for a 33ft. camper and how far of walk to marina? Please take pictures of the two site if you can.

Hope you have a wonderful time and the weather is nice for you.
Are you going to the MNSSHP? I have heard it's alot of fun.

Thanks so much,
Firenurse

Have a wonderful stay! I love Fort Wilderness, and we try to visit the area each time we go to WDW. Just hearing you describe your experiences is fine, don't need any specific info.

Hope you are all having a great time!! We will be there in April, and that can't come quick enough. This will be our first stay at FW, and at a Disney resort for that matter. My kids are very excited about staying there. We were originally staying at the Poly, but we decided this would be more fun for the kiddies!!!
One question for you is about Trail's End....How is the food? My kids want to eat there because they found out about the Mickey Waffles they serve. Take care and have a great week.

Oh,any information you have will be appreciated. We are going to FW for the first time in January, no idea which loop? We have a truck camper, so don't need a huge site, but nearby things, comfort station, etc. Love to see pictures! Have a wonderful time.

Lucky you! :) We'll be there over Christmas. Can't wait! :hyper: Please let me know if you see many "2-wheeled scooters". I posted a question about them earlier, and got some very encouraging info. Any reassurance would be helpful. Have a great trip! :)

kerry34, I found the food at Trail's End to be very good. We only found out about it on our second to the last night and as a result had breakfast and dinner there our last day as well. My mother in law is looking so forward to the buffet dinner again that she said when we go in Feb we have to get an early enough flight to make sure we can go there right after we check in. Hard to do living in WA! :-)

You can see the "typical" menu at allearsnet.com.

Firenurse, Site 305 (the one we're in) will hold your 33 ft. camper just fine, ours is 30'. We specifically chose this site because it backs up to the playground, is close to the bath house, and is close to the bus stop. We're one loop down from the 100 loop, which is close to the marina. In the past we have always stayed in Loop 1400, but now think we like this one the best.

As for the MNSSHP, we are going tomorrow night. This will be the 3rd time we've gone. We always have a great time each time we have went. We are now getting ready to have breakfast with Cindy, over at her "house" in the MK.

I'll be sure to take the pictures that you requested and post them to my picture sharing site. I'll let you know when they're there.

Kerry34, We haven't gone to Trails End this yet this trip, but in the past it have been really good, especially for breakfast.

Tarheelmjfan, I have seen several folks riding the 2 wheel scooters around the campground, so I think you'll be safe riding them.

Okay, I guess I'd better finish getting ready to go eat with Cindy, so I'll talk to you folks later!

Thanks to Duane and Mamatojon, I am looking forward to trying out the Buffet, and the price is definately easy on the wallet!

Hi Duane,

Since you are there - would you mind checking to see if there is any word on "the movie schedule" for November? Thanks! Wish you all a fabulous time and enjoy reading your posts!

Duane -

Greetings from North Carolina. How is it that you are posting? What type of internet connection do you have?

Duane, I would be eternally grateful if you could tell me which site # or #'s in the 300 loop back up to the canal and are fairly roomy (35 ft motorhome & Jeep) and private. This will be our 1st time in that loop. We usually stay in th 100 loop-but are bringing the doggies this trip. How is the weather and the crowds? Thanks so much for helping us all out. That is very kind of you:D

Hi NCDISNut, I'm using a Dell Laptop and a Sprint PCS wireless phone with Sprint's PCS Connection Manager software. It works pretty well in most cases, a little better than dial-up, but not quite high speed.

CLynn, I wished I had checked the site sooner, but we are pulling out tomorrow morning as early as we can. However, I'll try to remember to look at the sites that back up to the canal as we drive by, and post the numbers when I get home. As far as I can remember the sites "tighten" up as you get close to the canal. The site we're in (305) is pretty private and backs up to a pond/canal.

I'll let everyone know when I get some of my pictures posted.
