I'm trying to decide on a steakhouse for us to go to other than Le Cellier--since we may not get a reservation. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I think Shula's at the Dolphin is the best. If you're limited to restaurants that accept the dining plan, though, the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club is a good bet.

We are on the Dining Plan so sadly Shula's is out. Also, I was trying not to have to use 2 table service credits or I would go to Yachtsman for sure.

We really enjoyed the Beef Tenderloin at The Wave. Unique menu. Wonderful service. Mmmmm desserts. And it's one credit! :thumbsup2

As stated the best steakhouse on property is Shula's which is not on the DDP.

Others places to get a good steak are;

Signature (2 credits)

Yachtsman Steakhouse
Jiko
Brown Derby
Citrico's
Flying Fish

1 credit
Captain's Grille
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Grand Floridian cafe
Kona Cafe (teriyaki steak)

I had a great steak at Coral Reef a couple of years ago. Portabella's too but I am not sure if it's on the plan or not.

I had the steak at the Grand Floridian Cafe and it was delish, it is on our list for the next trip, whenever that may be :)

Loved the Yachtsman. The service was outstanding, as were the steaks - I am picky about my steaks and they were perfect!

For our money, Le Celier isn't even close to the best steak on property. We love YSH, but have also enjoyed the steak at Jiko, Artist Point, and even Flying Fish. Haven't tried Shula's yet, but the vast number of good reviews of that place would entice me to try there some time if it weren't for the connection to those Miami Dolphins.... :rolleyes1

:love:We love the Yachtsman's Steakhouse @ the Yacht Club. It was so good that we ate there twice in one week last year(after a thunderstorm prevented us from walking to Epcot). The filet & ribeyes are awesome. Loved the mushrooms, too:) Excellent service. You will love it.

Since you are limited by the DP and 1 credit, the Turf Club is probably your best bet.

I have enjoyed the steak at Coral Reef. It is a one credit restaurant. Try getting into Le Cellier at Lunch. That is what we have done. Slightly smaller steak, but a really good way to spend one credit.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I may have to go have a steak for lunch today ha ha.

California Grill and Artist Point are two options that I don't think have been mentioned -the variety, service and food are excellent. Not to mention, both have excellent wine lists.
