I'm helping a friend of mine plan her first visit to the World. She is visiting with her in-laws, who are insistant that they eat steak every night. I'm not a steak eater and it's never been at the top of my list of must-haves when dining at the world.

So, I'm coming to the experts... where are the best places to get a good steak when on the DDP?

Le Cellier has to be it. I'm not much of a steak eater either, but a good filet is a good filet and the mushroom filet here is awesome!

Other "steak places": Yachtsman Steakhouse and Turf Club at SSR

WCC has a wonderful ribeye. I love it, get it everytime and haven't been disappointed yet.

We've had good steaks at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, Jiko, California Grill, Mama Melrose, Citricos, Narcoosee, Turf Club, Whispering Canyon, Raglan Road, Kona, Brown Derby, GF Cafe, Chef's de France, Sanaa, Maya Grill, Olivia's, and Yak & Yeti's steak and shrimp isn't bad either. I know Tony's and Boatwrights do not get good reviews here on the DIS, but surprisingly we've had some good steaks at both. We've had not so good steaks at the Wave, Big River Grill, and 50's Prime Time. I'd have to say the best steaks we've had are the char grilled strips at Flying Fish. They are always great and we prefer theirs' over any of the steaks we've gotten at the Yachtsman.

We tried the filet at Chef's de France and it was awesome, right up there with Le Cellier.

I do like Le Cellier but I do think other places have better steak AND service.
I agree with Chefs de France being excellent AND Yachtsman Steakhouse also. Both have great food and service and have a better atmosphere (my opinion) AND you don't have to wait and beg for a reservation!

I also recommend Le Cellier. The filet was my absolute favorite. Also, the filet at Narcoossee's was amazing (but this is a Signature restaurant).

we ate steak for a week on our last trip....we don't eat it much at home, and not too picky, but every restaurant we ate in,the steaks were good:thumbsup2

The best steak we had in December was TEPPAN EDO'S FILET! :thumbsup2 So much better than Le Cellier that we canceled our second LeC and had TE twice instead! :scared1:

To please the steak lovers .. and have great choices for folks who want a variety..

I would say..

Flying Fish, Narcoossee's and Jiko.

:sail:not on the dining plan, but if you want a great steak, go to Shula's!!!

1TS would have to be Teppan Edo, though Coral Reef's was pretty good. I would say Le Cellier but I heard they are becoming signature.

2TS would definitely be Yachtsman! We LOOOOOOVVVEED the steaks there and would eat their steaks every night if we could. Best steak on property IMHO.
