we are new members of DVC and staying at VGF. Does anyone know of great standard views that we can request. We want to make this vacation as special as possible...we are taking our son that we just adopted for his first wdw vacation.

I understand that but I'd be happy with a nice view of the monorail or something like that. I'm sure there are nice views on the cheap side. Lol

Check out the photos using the link in my above post. Yes there are monorail view rooms, what else do you consider a great view?

All standard view villas on one side of the building will have a view of the monorail, as well as a view of the parking lot in the distance.

Keep in mind that there are very few villas at VGF, so there won't be a huge selection of villas becoming available to new guests on a daily basis.

We were there in April, and our villa was already assigned when we arrived. We were in 1419, and had a view of the wedding pavilion, the monorail and the parking lot in the distance.

We already have our reservations and asked for the highest level. We just want to see what kind of views we can get

We stayed in a standard view studio at VGF in February 2014, 5th floor, Rm 1505. We loved the views--we could see the monorail, fountain, some pool, some beach. I'd recommend saying 'high floor' and rooms that face the Grand Floridian. The rooms to avoid seem to be the ones up front over the entryway/driveway to the villas.

Enjoy! We loved our visit here and felt very pampered!

Have seen a pic of this room before, but my memory is "refreshed" with this thread about 1221... looks pretty lousy! Guess someone has to occupy that room, but HOPE IT ISN'T ME! :scared1:

Have been SPOILED by great room assignments! :thumbsup2:cool1:

TRUTH BE TOLD always NICE having an AWESOME view, but SO MANY GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE at WDW, never spend any time in the room!

ENJOY your trip! Looking forward to our first VGF stay in Dec. Studio as well, YAY!:santa:

We will b there for the first time with our son. He's a Disneyland pro but World it a whole different story. Lol. We will b spending some time in the room just to enjoy the beauty

I haven't figured out how to post them, and don't have time right now to do that. The view is similar to 1507 and 1603--more pool than 1507 and a tiny bit of lake. From our balcony we watched a photo-shoot going on at the pool.

Wow so there are rooms on the standard studio side that u can see fireworks? But I'm sure u don't get a monorail view too.

Thought I remember seeing a post some months ago with lovely photos!
Looked GREAT!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
