Good Songs To Use For Disney Home Movies

I think it's fun to use music that isn't necessarily associated with Disney. Ironically, the fun and excitement of a Disney trip doesn't always jive with some of the most common Disney music:) Just my two cents. We enjoy watching videos, so please post yours when you're done. Look forward to watching!

That is the best one I have seen. Our kids are grown and so how I wish we were tech people to have a video like this to watch now. Your families memories could have been ours. Thank you for posting

Do a search on YouTube for "Disney Area Music." Lots of the music throughout the parks is posted there. I often use it in my videos between the songs with actual lyrics.

Agreed. I used Bob Marley in my Sea World video and it fit perfectly.

Do You Believe In Magic - Lovin' Spoonful
Top of the World - Carpenters
Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows - Leslie Gore

And of course, I have to throw a shout out to Zip a Dee Doo Dah. I like the version by Aly and AJ, if you are looking for something a little longer and more pop-like.

Great suggestions so far! Work is moving along smoothly, but I've gotten stuck and can't find a good song for two sections of the video:

- Contemporary Resort
- New Test Track

Thought about the theme song to The Jefferson's ("Movin' On Up") for the Contemporary, but want to use something more Disney-fied. Found a song from the Tron soundtrack by Daft Punk (appropriate for Tron-Track right?) but it's almost too in-your-face loud. Wanted to find something synth. or electronic for that one.

We use A Good Life last year before the commercial did. My DS thinks Disney stole the idea from us ;)

Hello was a good one too.

Chasing the Sun is a fun upbeat and appropriate.

I am finishing mine from our early December trip and ending with the song from Meet the Robinsons.

I tend to go for pop songs that complement the story I am telling.

Another is one of the most over used songs of current times - Journey's Don't Stop Believing. Fits a lot of situations.

We have used "Our Town" from the Cars Movie....it goes well for us since we call WDW our "Home away from Home". Our most favorite song that we use in quite a bit of our Disney home movies is the music from Spectromagic. Also, Jim Brickman has a ton of Disney music that he plays on the piano that is really good (DH really likes his music)....we really enjoy "Winterlude" by him.

Also, you were asking for a song for Test Track, if you do a search on google or itunes, there is a Test Track song that you can download. It is on one of our many many Disney CDs that we like to pick up while at the parks....sorry couldn't tell you exactly which one though.

We used some Rascal Flatts Songs....

Me and my gang
Life is a highway

Both upbeat songs that fit well with the excellent time we had on our vacation :thumbsup2
