With all the walking to be done at Disney World, not to mention my general need to keep up with a preschooler with boundless energy, I'm trying to decide what new shoes to buy - for the summer and for our fall Disney trip.

I've seen other threads about shoes, but I don't recall seeing any that specifically made suggestions for wide feet. Which is what I've got!

So, if you've got wide feet, and you swear by a comfy/supportive/etc shoe, sneaker, or sandal that can keep your feet from crying as you make your way around the World, please share your suggestions. I'm all ears!

New Balance has a wide variety of styles for those of us with wide feet. I've also found some Teva sandals that work for me.

These are the only sneakers I can wear. Brooks. They are really expensive, but luckily they last me for a long time. They change up the styles and names every few years, but this style is the is the most recent one I bought. I need the support and wear sneakers to the park exclusively. I only wear sandals or flip flops for short trips around the resort or if we are going to a restaurant outside the parks and not really walking much.

I have a pair of Brooks Ghost6 sneaks from last year. Love 'em. I think they'll still be in good enough shape come the fall to make it on my trip with me. Or so I hope! You're right - they're expensive, but they are really good quality.

I've been looking at a pair of Tevas online, but without a specific wide width option, I've been wary of placing the order. Good to hear that someone else with wider feet has had good luck with Tevas.

I'd love to hear other suggestions!

I got the sketchers go walk shoes for our WDW trip in February. They were perfect (they come in wide and are stretchy so they fit my extra wide feet). I actually saw a CM with the same shoes on and we commiserated on their lack of fashion appeal, but oh, they are comfy!!

I've had a few pairs of Tevas as well. I just order them from zappos and if one style didn't fit, I would return them and try another. They make it so easy to return and exchange things (free shipping). Plus you can read all the reviews where people talk about them running wide or narrow or whatever.

I wear a EE in the Brooks.

I can only wear Teva sandals. The strap across the top of the foot is velcro, that way I can change it if my feet get swollen. They have good instep support as well.

I just bought sketchers go walk with memory foam insoles on line that come in wide , very comfortable and if you check retail me not there is usually a discount code. I saved 30% and got free shipping!!!

I too find New Balance walking shoes, along with good walking socks such as Thorlo or Smartwool (changing to a fresh pair in mid afternoon), allow my wide feet to go for miles!

The Teva Tirra style works pretty well for me. The straps across the foot are adjustable. I think they are cute, too.

My biggest issue was with the ankle strap as I have HUGE ankles. I had to sew an additional piece of Velcro onto the strap to make it large enough, but it works great.

I've just ordered some Skecher Go Walks. I'm really interested to see if they fit.

I just found these yesterday at Kohl's. Tried the wides on & was disappointed they were still too tight...then found the Extra Wides! My Fred Flintstone feet and I are very happy now. :rotfl:

I was looking at the Teva Terra Fi Lites, but took a look now at the Tirras. They're cute.

Did you find they fit true-to-size, or did you need to size up/down to make sure the length and width were good?

Thanks :)

Teva Tirra and New Balance, like many other posters! I also like Crocs Kadee flats. They are very comfortable, lightweight and cool and can stretch with your foot. They probably wouldn't be good for a full park day, but if you are resort hopping or at DTD, they work really well.

I am also a fan of Teva Tirra. I used to wear Teva flip flops exclusively but decided to get something with more support and a strap at the back of the foot for our trip last year.

I got the black Tirra's and they do run true to size, at least for me. Love the adjustable straps so I can loosen them if needed.

I used to wear Saucony but I just bought my first pair of Brooks Adrenalin in wide and they are super comfy...hoping they are still in good shape by August when we get there

I have wide flat feet, size 10. I bought Sketchers Airwalk for our trip in April and love them! So comfortable, they were great for our trip and are my favorite shoes now!

"Flintstone Feet" was literally my nickname in high school by a couple friends. ROTFL. Wide Feet Unite! ;)
