Last summer we tried the Ocean Grille and weren't to overly impressed. DH's seafood platter had NO taste. We really enjoyed the Patio which was recommended on this site. We will be leaving in 2 weeks for a week at VB in a 2 bd. We plan on eating breakfasts in the room and dinners out. We love the Patio but not sure if we want to eat there 5 or 6 nights.

Can anyone suggest a seafood restra. which preferrably serves crab legs in abundance? Seafood buffet? Or just a good seafood menu?

Also if you have been recently with kids what craft activities are they offering? I'm wandering if its the same as last year. THANKS in advance!!

One more question, last year at Sonya's they had Italian night. Do they have any other themed nights? And thewys erved the most incredidble amaretto cheesecake. Can we order one just to have in our room?

I liked Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty, if you time your visit for sunset it has a wondeful view out over the intercoastal water way.

We just returned from a wonderful week at VB. I can't tell you about any seafood restaurants offsite, but I can answer that they did indeed have Sonya's Italian night. It was on Tuesday. On Thursday they had a Seafood Buffet but we didn't really think it was great. Sonya's regular menu was better. Have a great trip to Vero. I love that resort more everytime I go!

In June we went to the lobster shanty for lunch and even had a dolphin swimming around as we ate! It was lovely and the food good as usual.

We also like Capt. Hiriams, Capt. Manatee, and the Ocean Grill.
The locals suggested Fins for fish sandwiches.

We love seafood and look forward to eating in Vero! Off to HH next week!

I had Mahi Mahi at Shutters and was not impressed. The Sunday Brunch at Sonyas was phenomenal. Another restaurant we thoroughly enjoyed was the Black Pearl on the river in Vero just before the park. The restaurant is in a row of buildings on the right just before the park (on the left) about 4 miles from the Vero DVC. Food was great. Chef's presentation made you feel Emeril was cooking. Probably not a place for young kids. Check there web site for the menu. There is a second Black Pearl somewhere in the center of Vero. Haven't tried that.
