good room at tokelau at poly

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good room request for Tokelau garden view.

We stayed in a beautiful garden view room, that actually could have been considered a lagoon view. I reccomend requesting the second or third floor, any of the rooms between 2911-2915 or 3911-3915. These are at the end of the building, by the water and offer fantastic views.

We were able to watch the boats to MK arrive, and depart, (Hurry up kids, the boat is arriving) and we saw two weddings at Sunset point from our rooms.

We love the Poly, and always have been happy with the above requests.

Those are great choices posted by Mich Mouse and offer up a partial lagoon view but if you get a room on the other side of the building down towards the beach end you can see the castle and fireworks. If you are on the second or third floor on the other side you can see the castle almost all the way down the building. There are some photos here that show you the view and the room numbers.

I remember when you went and it was great that you got into Tokelau. I use to think Samoa and Fiji were the best garden view rooms but Tokelau has so much going for it that any time someone is new to the resort and not sure what they want I figured Tokelau is a safe bet that everyone would enjoy and it is has some of the only garden view rooms with a view of the castle and fireworks. Along with the rooms being the larger size, the balconies on both upper floors and it being close to everything, it is hard to pick a better garden view room.

Are you going to go back to the Polynesian sometime? How did you like the Grand Californian? (sorry to change the subject).

We loved Tokelau. We were on the 2nd floor, about midway down, on the GF side. Only problem we had was that they were rehabbing Hawaii, and we got to look at workers during the day. But, it had a peek at the lagoon, and GF off in the distance. If I had it to do all over again, I would ask for the other side of the hall, on the TTC side, and on the left of the elevators. Nice view there!!

We loved everything about visiting California, and the Grand Californian was no exception. It was our first trip to where the magic all began, and we were not disappointed at all. Sometimes I read posts comparing WDW to DL....They are both so wonderful in their own way. DL is so intimate, and has such charm, and WDW is really its own town.

We are headed out to California again this summer, this time to San Fransisco, and to hike/raft at Yosemite. It will be the first August in seven years that I am not officially planning a WDW trip! We decided after seeing the Grand Canyon last year, that we really want to see more of the world, so now we plan one Disney trip and one National Park trip each year...

I am plotting a bit though...I am a HS teacher and I am secretly planning to sub a bit this summer to pay for a last minute trip to FLorida! Are you headed to the Poly? I remember on one of my August trips, you were there a few days before me...I think late July.

We tried the Grand Californian last 4th of July and while it was nice I think I prefer the Disneyland Hotel although the location of the GC is great.

Well wave when you fly over my house on your way into S.F. Next National Park you visit should be Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii.

We were not going to got to WDW this year since we had already planned on Maui but we decided to go and try Christmas time in WDW.

I was there last August and we were all there in July-August 2004 so maybe it was one of those times you were there also.

Have a great time in Yosemite.
