I've never been to the World with children, when I was not a child myself. Over the summer, my mom, myself, and DF will be taking my 6 yo nephew for 5 days. He's into Disney, but more into Pixar. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on Disney dining (some may called obsessed :cool1:) but never with a kid. He's pretty well behaved, and used to eating out, so I think he'll be fine. I figure planning 1 sit down a day, since he'll want to go go go. Considering Chef Mickeys, Norway Princess, Crystal Palace, Sci Fi, 50s PTC, etc... Any recommendations would appreciated!

:flower3:

Chef Mickeys is perfect. But another one to try would be Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL. The food is good and the antics are exciting for children. They get to participate with the meal. When tables ask (or rather scream for ketchup) they get to "run" it to them. Have wooden stick horse parades around the restaurant, I think it is all pretty cute for kids. Not to mention boys like "western" theme better than princess stuff. So consider that place, I think he would like it.

My (very picky) 6-year-old loved:
Whispering Canyon (lincoln logs & all-you-can-drink milkshakes - his #1 fave)
Hoop De Doo Revue (didn't like the food - entranced by the show)
Chef Mickey (for breakfast)
T-Rex Cafe (if you're a grown-up, you'll need a Xanax or a cocktail - super loud - but the food was surprisingly good and the portions were huge)

If I had to choose one for a 6 yo or anyone, it'd be Crystal Palace breakfast, lunch or dinner. Chef Mickey's is also great and so is Ohana Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch! You're not going to go wrong with just about any character meal for a 6 yo! Have a wonderful magical time!:wizard:

I would definitely try Chef Mickey's and T-Rex. We had a blast at both. My son also loved Sci-Fi and Ohana - Dinner. :goodvibes

My DS7 and DS4 favorite place is Sci-Fi. They love to eat in the car and watch the old movies. Other favorites have been Chef Mickey, Teppan Edo, Donald Safari bfast, Cape May, Coral Reef. They are happy with pizza, PBJs and chicken fingers, so anything that has a make your own sundae or milkshake also gets high marks!!!

Have a wonderful time!!!

My seven year old loved 50's Prime Time, Tusker House Breakfast and Coral Reef, but hands down, Biergarten was her favorite!

If he's into Pixar, don't miss Pizza Planet. The food's not the best, but my son was in awe that he actually got to eat there.

MY 5 yr old nephew loves Chef Mickey's, Crystal Place, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare (he loved meeting the prince and got a kick out of the Mad Hatter at breakfast) and CRT. CRT surprised me, but he really wanted to go inside the castle and look around. He loved getting a sword too.
