Hi everyone...I'm trying to plan my vacation and picking places to eat...I will be going with 4 kids (12, 10, 4 and 1). I have to pick 9 Table Service meals. I don't want all my meals to be character meals - from experiance, it's relaxing sometimes to eat without have to get your camera out, keep kids at the table without running off to see a charater, etc. Do you have any good Table Service picks that my children will still enjoy?

So far I have:
Chef Micky
Crytal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Akershaus Royal Banquet
Ohanas
Sci-Fi

(most of these are chacter meals, I know, but they are ones we can't miss).

On a side note...the new table service rest. going into Fantasyland with the Belle theme -do you know when this will be opening and when they will be taking reservations???)

I would add these -

Via Napoli - most kids love pizza!
Tusker House - something for everyone to eat and the decor is cool. You
could pick the character breakfast or non-character lunch or dinner

My kids love Coral Reef and San Angel Inn at Epcot. They ask each time to see the aquarium and eat by the pyramid.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun time without the character issue (although the wait staff there are characters in their own right):rotfl2:

Whispering Canyon Cafe -2 words.....bottomless milkshakes
Tusker House (even though it is a character breakfast, the food was wonderful).

Whispering Canyon Cafe is great for kids...lots of excitement and activities. The food is good, too!

We love Teppan Edo. My son is a huge fan of Japanese steakhouses (hibachi), and even though we visit quite a few of them out of the World, this one is a little more "magical" to us. The only reason that we aren't doing Teppan Edo this year is because we are meeting up with local friends who are taking us to a hibachi style place in Orlando.

Beirgarten in Germany is another kid friendly place with lots to look at and plenty of food options.

Agree with others about Tusker House, great place for kids.

Our favorites are:

O'Hana
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickeys
Coral Reef
Beirgarten
1900 Park Fare
Cinderella's Royal Table (2 credits on this one, but worth it)
50s Prime Time Cafe
Rainforest Cafe

Hope this helps

BIERGARTEN with kids is a must...they get to dance!

We've done Biergarten every year for years now. Last summer it was SOOO loud in there, that we could not have any conversation the whole time and all felt somewhat anxious for the meal to be over so we could leave. Skipping it this year. Has anyone else had this experience?

I would just look at the menus on allears.net and pick restaurants that appeal to your entire party. All of them are child friendly with the exception of V & A's. Our family including my children enjoy:

The Wave
Flying Fish
California Grill
Citricos
Bluezoo
The Plaza
50's PT
Le Cellier
Via Napoli
Tutto
Chefs (lunch only)
Liberty Tree (lunch only).
