I've never tried to stay at the Poly before, so I'm not sure if this is the best I can do for our three night stay, Dec. 11-14.

Garden view
Total Room Only: $691.89 (includes tax)
Per night: $230.63

Should I grab it and run? Thanks!

Wow - that sounds like a great price. We have stayed at the Poly twice and the rates were in the 300's. I would grab it and run!:goodvibes

I'd grab it and run :goodvibes. A Poly GV during value season is $355 + tax.....so you got an excellent rate :thumbsup2. We stayed at the Poly in Sept '07 and we had the best time.....the Poly is an awesome resort :cool1:. Have a great trip :dance3:.

Is that through Magical Vacations? It's a GREAT deal on the Poly...we were very tempted to book, but we couldn't add the dining plan, and we figured it wasn't worth it. But for 3 nights, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Thanks for all the replies! I'm feeling much better. It's hard for me to spend the extra money instead of staying at the values, but it is probably the shortest trip we will take so it's the best chance I have to get it past the hubby!
Yes, it is through Magical Vacations.
We did the dining plan last year, and after waiting at least 45 minutes every night to get a table, we will not do that again. We have two small boys and they did not wait well, and neither did hubby or I since I had made the reservations 180 days before our visit. I could see waiting 15 minutes for a table, but 45...every night!?! And our times were all for around 5 pm, not a main dinner rush hour. We'll be doing counter service this trip.
Thanks again!

Sounds like a great rate to me, though I've never stayed there yet! Maybe someday! Can you tell us, how did you get that rate, did you have a special pin number with a great discount rate or what? :goodvibes

I just went to the Magical Vacations website and requested a quote. They emailed me back with the price. No pins or codes or anything. We're so excited!

Just wanted to say thank you for posting this! I wanted to book Poly for this same timeframe plus a couple more days. On the Disney Web site, the rate is$460 a nite and was having a hard time justifying paying that rate during the Value season, but REALLY want to stay there. So I requested a quote from Magical Vacations and it was the same as yours....Less than half! :thanks:

I  Lisa from Magic Vacations! She is so wonderful to work with. Our October trip was originally booked through their deal at the Poly and our rate was around $202/night total. It was awesome. Then Disney had to release that darn free dining for our dates with the Disney Visa so I called Lisa right up and she switched our ressie to CSR (a mod) and the free dining. I know once these deep discounts stop we will book through her for that Poly stay I've been dreaming of!

Jump on that deal and enjoy your stay at the Poly!!

I but their website in my favorites. Just wondering if any of the other travel agencies like SWV and DU can get these rates?

The way Lisa explained it to me was that MV blocks off a group of rooms well in advance and negotiate these great rates. It's worth a try, but I doubt other agencies match these rates. MV has an good cancellation policy and you pay the same way you would a room-only deal directly thru Disney. I think its a great option if you want to go without the dining plan....that's the only disadvantage I know of! :thumbsup2

That's so awesome! :cool1: And, thanks for the answer back!
So, now, can anyone explain to me what Magical Vacations is? Are they affiliated with Disney at all? Do you just buy your room there or a package with tickets or dining plan if you want? What if you book a low rate for Poly and then FD comes along and you want to add that? I'm sort of confused, sounds like you wouldn't need a pin or code thing to get a great rate through disney like we usually try to do. :confused3

Magical Vacations is a private travel agency and as a previous poster said, they book blocks of rooms in advance and negotiate these great rates with WDW. I have taken advantage of their deals for the Poly (going next week!) and the Grand Floridian.

Can you share the website for magical vacations? I went to what I thought would be it but website appears down and MELISSA is the contact name so not sure this is it..thanks
