This is our 1st time going and not sure if I can expect a lower rate than this or not. We are going for 9 night during OFF_SEASON, and with our Triple A discount we are paying $702.00 for preferred room. Is this a good rate, or have there been better ones without Ap's or any other disney discount's.?? What have other people gotten for rates in past. Time frame is end of Jan/beg of Feb. Thanks.

Well the discounts have not been released yet for Jan/Feb. But in the past few months the AS discount has been a range of $49-$64 a night. Your rate averages out to $78 a night but that would differ if your package includes tickets. This would sound like a pretty good deal then, depending on your ticket type.
For future reference a great site for a listing of the discounted rates is mousesavers.com.

You didn't say which All-Star? That price would be good for All Star Movies, but for All Star Music or Sports, off-season is more like $49 a night plus tax with the AP discount, non-preferred view -that's what we paid last January. With the codes I have seen this year, assuming they continue into 2003, you may be able to get it for about $55 per night without buying the AP.

Personally, I have had no luck with AAA and when I stayed at POFQ in the off-season, I found out too late that I was paying nearly rack-rate -- the AAA person never told me that my AP could have gotten me a discount on the room of nearly $60 per night! They also booked me on a very expensive flight. I learned the hard way to do everything myself. There is great info to be had on these boards.

Wasnt' sure on the rate. We are in at $78.00 incl. tax at the music for preferred room. no tickets just room only. I am keeping fingers crossed for price in the $50 ish range. That would be awesome. thanks for input --I always enjoy saving a buck or two so anything will help have great day.

Hi Mogs30- Just a thought, the additional price for the preferred room is 10.00 extra. You might still get a bad location( facing the back parking lot ) instead of a pool view. Sometimes the extra costs just don't seem like a value. If at check-in, you see that your location is in the rear of the bldgs, you might want to request a non-perferred bldg. and save 90.00. The resort is so compact that you won't miss the difference. However if you have a pool view then it could be worth the extra $$. Just my opinion though.
