Friday 8th June

Breakfast : Salon Mickey

Morning Any rides we still want to do and last minute shopping

12:00 pm Cowboy Cookout

4:00 pm Disneyland Hotel with Characters

5:00 pm Leave for Eurostar

We've not scheduled in our counter service meals in the evening; as we thought we would just eat when we felt hungry; as we usually have our main meal in the evening at home; so not sure what time to make tea.

Thanks:thumbsup2

are you having breakfast at Cafe Mickey twice? What are you planning to do with your birthday cake from cafe mickey - are you just going to leave it there?

also, the Studios parade is just a drive-past on a short route through the studio, so you don't have to wait more than about 5 minutes at the ropesides for that (its very disappointing they don't have their original cars n stars format in the studios anymore, because that was totally worth staking out a good spot for).

My mistake I meant Salon Mickey breakfast on the last day! My head is all of a scramble after I saw the Parade in the Park time change - I actually went to bed with a headache last night; trying to re-shuffle our original plans in my head!:rotfl2:

Good point! When we booked my birthday cake they said that when we check in we will be given the option of 2 birthday cakes??? Going to take a klip and lock lunch type box to take the rest of the cake with us. Was unsure whether it will be okay being travelled in our rucksack all day???

I was wondering what was happening about the studios parade this year; as I'd not seen any details posted.

Thanks for all the feedback:thumbsup2; is great to have another set of eyes to point out where we could make better use of our time!:goodvibes

its a big cake Ali, I know it says that its for 6-8 but the chocolate version is very rich and gooey, I think it would get bashed about a fair bit if its in a rucksack all day. Could you nip back to your hotel with it instead, and keep it for supper in your room?

that choc moussey one (nearly put mouse lol) was very rich and came on glass stand so not sure how we wud have taken it away - but luckily we had friends come with us who 'helped' us eat it all up lol

the other one weve had was a more simple sponge one, which we easily took away!!

am now drooling thinkin of cake...... just a shame we have no birthdays near when we go..... lol

You could either pretend if you wanted the characters ;) or go to Auchan at Val d'Europe and buy the same cake for half price and eat it between yourselfs in you just wanted the cake :goodvibes

Yes I think you may be right - especially as there's only DH and I having a slice. Would make a nice supper and I'm going to take a small container to put some for my Brother In Law to give him when he kindly picks us up off the Eurostar the following day!:goodvibes

My mouth is watering too! Which one did you prefer??? Thanks:thumbsup2

DH keeps threatening to squeal on me to Mickey that it is not my real birthday!:rotfl2: I wanted to go on my real birthday which is at the end of June but the eurostar was too expensive; but I did read on a trip report that Mickey doesn't mind you celebrating your birthday early!!! Nothing like being a big kid at DLP!:goodvibes

lol carrie - very tempting - i have at least one kid that wud pipe up - but mummy, ur birthday was ages ago lol

ali - actually i prefered the choc one - it was very very nice..... very moist and just mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

the sponge one is like the generic sponge type u get from a supermarket....

me too Nikki, much prefer the chocolate one :).

Chocolate one it is - was just contemplating it with DH who said he would prefer the sponge one; but told him that I would overule on this one as it is my birthday!:rotfl2: And I'm doing Slimming World and being a very good girl until I go to DLP - so definitely want to indulge in lots of chocolate as a reward for being good!:goodvibes

It looks like a good plan. I assume you know that there are no characters at inventions at lunch time?:)

Thanks. I really wanted to do Inventions on the first evening; in order to get the characters but what with the parade time changing to 7 ish; wouldn't be able to do the meal til 8 pm and I suffer migraine if I leave eating too late; so decided it might be safer to do inventions at lunch time without the characters; in order to stop it clashing with the parade.:goodvibes

We don't generally watch the parade every day but we will be doing lunches too on the days when we want to see it. :goodvibes

Absolutely love your planner! Nice to find another plan-a-holic like me :rotfl2:
