Good plan for Universal trip?? 1st time

Me, DH, DS 13 and DD 10 are going to Universal June 1-5. We are staying at the HRH. I was thinking 1 day at US, 1 day at IOA, 1 day to go back to both parks for our favorite rides and 1 day to enjoy the hotel. Do you think this is a good plan or will we get bored. I wanted to relax more on this trip and enjoy all that they have to offer. At disney we are in fast mode the hole time and we are warn out by the time we leave.

Have you bought your park tickets yet? If not there is an internet deal for 99$ 5 days. If you have those tickets...you can go into the park every day. Since you are staying onsite and can use FOTL you dont have to stay all day...come and go as you please...take a break in the afternoon and hang out at the pool. You dont have to stress over it like disney...it's easy. You will have plenty of time to enjoy it all...

Correct, when you stay onsite, you can come and go as you please.

Most people think they need to plan a day for each park, or for an event.
But what I do, is basically split the day into 3 parts.
A morning visit to a park. An afternoon nap or visit to the pool. And a nighttime visit to a park. You basically avoid the most busy time of the day, which is the afternoon between 11am and 4pm. You won't get bored. If you do, you can always catch the shuttle to SWF and visit that park.

For me, after walking on my feet for 3 or 4 hours, I need a break, my feet are tired. So I rest in the afternoon, then go back as the tired are leaving.

Thanks for the help. As always ya'll always give great advice for trip planning.
I made my ressies about a month ago, we did the free 4 all. We are excited about this trip we usually go to disney world but my family wants something with more thrill rides!
