Good places to recharge an ECV at MK?

We are planning to be at MK for an extended period of time tomorrow (8am EMH through at least the majority of the Christmas party). My rental scooter has been doing well in the parks, typically lasting 8-9 hours before needing a charge, but obviously we will be there longer tomorrow. We plan to take a rest break at the park in the afternoon and also are having a table service meal at 4:30 at Crystal Palace. Any insight on good places to plug in for a while in MK? I can walk short distances so ideally, I could plug in somewhere and leave it for a few hours while we rest and then have dinner.

The only two outlets I can remember are in the tunnel under the train station, and just outside the gate by the pressed penny machine and newsstand. But we found that maintenance CM's (other CM's, too - it's just the maintenance folks use the outlets more often and therefore know where they are) were usually pretty knowledgeable about finding the nearest outlet and were only too happy to help. One tip for all parks is that a lot of flowerbeds have outlets in them - just look for a box.

There is a really nice, shaded, rest area across the path from Rapunzel's bathrooms that has a number of outlets hidden in fake tree stumps.

So far so good! Found a nice outlet in the outdoor seating at Pinocchio Village Haus and was able to charge for about an hour while getting lunch. Going to try and find one near Crystal Palace for dinner in a couple of hours and then should be good to go for the night, I hope! :)

There are several outlets outside the bathrooms near the baby care center in MK. Plugged in there during dinner! :)

I don't remember where I read this but I saw something about having to pay to recharge your ECV at a park. Did anyone else see this and would you clarify/confirm. I think it would be really greedy to prey on the disable in need.

I plugged mine in several times over the course of our 8 day trip and there was never a cost. The CMs were often very helpful in finding a place to plug in, particularly the night I had trouble in Epcot.

Could you tell me who you rented from? For the first time, I will be needing a scooter next trip and have been reading a lot about some companies have very weak batteries that need recharging every few hours. I love the idea of a battery lasting 8-9 hours! Thank you.

We rented from Apple. Several caveats. We did have a battery that needed replacing the first day. After that battery life was generally good. I followed the usual rules of turning off the scooter whenever I wasn't using it, even for a couple of minutes. You'll also get better battery life if you can possibly make it through ride queues on foot (or transfer to a wheelchair if you have someone to help you!) because some are very twisty and long. Also avoid driving up hills as much as possible. The Epcot monorail station has an elevator you can use so you don't have to drive up the ramp! :)

You should be able to leave it at First aid, plugged in. It would be much safer, I'm thinking.

Since First Aid at MK is right next to Crystal Palace I would also suggest using that location for recharge.

Also most quick service locations (such as Electric Umbrella) have electric outlets near the bathrooms. I would also look on the ground (near fences) for covered outlet boxes sprouting from the ground; just flip up the safety cap.

I had an ECV (now replaced by vendor) which wasn't holding a charge well on Thursday. I just asked a CM where I might find a outlet to charge and they directed me to a nearby outlet each time and told me to take as much time as I needed. There was no cost for this. The CMs were most helpful even though it wasn't a Disney ECV.
