Me and Scott have decided to book a week off work in October and wait until the last minute to try and get a holiday. Ideally we'd like a week in Florida but we'd settle for DLP if necessary and we'll do something else entirely if we can't get to Disney.
Our budget is £350 max for everything (not including what we spend in FL on food/souvenirs.) In the case of Florida that's flights, car, hotel and Disney tickets. We might be able to get a week in Scott's parents' timeshare but we can't rely on it as they may well be using it in Sept.
So can you guys list any good places for cheap last minute deals that aren't going to screw me by adding on huge booking fees or similar? We're keeping our eyes open already at lastminute.com, tvtravelshop and skytravel as we've spotted good last minute deals there in the past but any other places would be welcome. We'll also be going into every travel agents in town during the month leading up to our planned week and asking them to call if they get anything in. Our dates are 8th - 15th October.
Also if anyone has any useful tips on keeping costs as low as possible please feel free to share them. We don't mind missing out on things as we're probably going to WDW next September as part of a group for 2 weeks anyway. Cheers everyone!!
