does anyone know of a good place for my DH & DS to watch the Super Bowl ? they were going to go to ESPN, but from what i'm reading, that place is going to be a mad house ! :crowded:

I'm curious about this too. My Dh and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary on the 5th, but I know we are going to be watching the game, instead of going to a nice dinner.

Pretty much every moderate and deluxe hotel will have a bar/lounge with a fairly big screen TV, and I would bet most of them will have the game on. (Watch out if they have live entertainment at the lounge tho; they may turn the set down or off when the show starts!)

If you are the first ones at the ESPN Club (it opens about 11am, I think) then you can stay there all day until the game starts.

Otherwise, you can be in the room and watch it. Or sometimes at a lounge. They usually have a big screen TV to watch it on.

Who would want to hang out there for 7 hrs before the game starts?

They also don't allow people to hold seats...you are seated when your party is all there.

My gosh you are at Disney World...not the Super Bowl.

When we were at WDW during the Patriots/Rams Super Bowl (2002?) we stayed at CBR and they put a BIG Tv out by the main pool. It was alot of fun and not crowded at all. Maybe they still do such things, ask around when you get down there.

Who cares where you watch it as long as you are watching the Seahawks win???? GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

We were there for the play offs in '04 and ESPN had a huge tv outside so people could watch since most couldn't get in, it was more fun outside than inside.

I would give the concierge at your hotel a call before you get there to see what is going on at each of the venues.

I watched the Seahawks/Panthers game last weekend at the Outer Rim in the Contemporary. Wasn't too busy, though I'm not sure if that would be any different for the Super Bowl. I sat out in the lounge area, away from the bar. Had a great server - ask for Nicole, she was great.

Cheers!

That would be great if our resort had a big tv out by the pool !!! I couldn't think of a better place for them to watch !

IMGONNABE40, great idea about asking the concierge ! I don't know why I didn't think of that :lmao:

Thanks for the ideas everyone :thumbsup2

They do that at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal- They have a big screen they put out by the pool. Usually they show movies on it- you grab a inner tube and watch- its called a "Dive-In Movie", but they also do it for the Super Bowl, too.

Disney should do that, too.

We were at POR for last years Superbowl. My DH watched it in the lounge there and had a blast. He met a few others from our area...and we are all pats fans!! I watched it back in our room w/our DS, as he was only 3 at the time. We did take a walk over to visit daddy and the lounge was hoping!!

you can go to the wide world of sports and watch it at the all star grill there is alot of big screens there and it has great food
