the new years eve fireworks other than at the park? ( I believe they are at Magic Kingdom @ midnight)

We are meeting some friends from Illinois there and probally won't be going to the parks until the 1st ( we are leaving all the decisions up to them since we can go anytime now). We will be staying at the COurtyard By Marriott on property. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas? Someone mentioned being on the boardwalk on nye - I have never been there and know nothing about it. Would that be a good place?

I haven't been at that time of year so I wouldn't know where a good place to be that night. Just bumping in hope that someone will have a good idea for you
