Good place to eat - Hollywood Studios

Try searching for a reservation for 2. Don't know why, but there are always more choices for 2 than 1. Not a big deal to say no, it's just one, when you check in at the restaurant.

I vote for 50's prime time or sci-fi.

I had a couple of reservations that I couldn't get for one. I got them for two, then modified them. They modified to one easily.

I ran into that with Garden Grill, which I have since decided to cancel altogether since it was too full a breakfast before a day at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. Just gonna get a light breakfast at Kringla or Les Halles instead.

Something to do with their reservations system.

Decided to just choose where to eat as I go on my Hollywood Studios day.

For my family they really don't care of any of the CS choices the only spot that they will eat at is SCI-FI which is a TS. You might want to think about taking the boat over to one of the resorts around the board walk, much better offerings and much tastier. You could check out the resort which are beautiful while over there.

Not sure if you have PH? if so you could take the boat over to Epcot go through the back gate and have lunch in France or England both QS have good food. This is what we do a lot of the time when visiting DHS.

Lunch at Les Halles was going to be my recommendation. I love the lounge for the HBD but I never seem to get a shady table, just the ones in the sun so I can't stay there long but maybe mid afternoon it won't be as crowded.

My favorite is Mama melrose. HANDS DOWN the best penne a la vodka I've ever had in my life. 100%! I dont add chicken or shrimp... just as is which includes pancetta! AMAZING!

My favorite places in HS is Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time. The Steak at Mama Melrose is out of this world and the Home Cooking Feel of the 50's Prime Time is great.

The also have excellent chicken parm. My picky son order the flatbread pizza. It actually was really good. I am going to order it next week when we are there. I thought it was far better that Pizza Planet pizza.

The HBD lounge is awesome! We gave it a try last trip for a light dinner and cocktails... both were delicious! Reservations not required, and it's a lovely spot to relax and watch the crowds go by. It is outside, so I imagine the experience wouldn't be as enjoyable in adverse weather conditions. We plan to go back every trip!

No PH this trip. I chose a third park day over PH. Was one or the other.

The home cooking/country cooking thing is something I don't really do. I live in a small Virginia town, so there is a lot of that here. 50s Primetime is the one suggestion that I didn't agree with.

It didn't occur to me to consider going over to the Boardwalk. Will definitely look into it.

I would have went with the 3rd park day as well. The resorts on the boardwalk Yacht and Beach club, Boardwalk, and the Swan and Dolphin all have great food court areas, also Big River Brewing and there is a pizza window on the boardwalk as well, so for my family this is a much better option than paying for something that they are not going to like and throw away half of it.

I already had a One Day Epcot/HS/AK Peak ticket, so I did the math, and adding 2 Days One Park Per Day only runs about $30 more than a second day plus Park Hopper(I had originally planned to go back and forth between Epcot and HS), so I decided to go that direction.

If you want to stay in the park, HBD lounge is great for people watching & you can see the Star Wars show on the stage from there also since it's right next to it.

If you want to take a break from HS for lunch, head over to Yacht Club & go to Crew's Cup Lounge for the best burger I've had on property & truffle fries!! Their wings are good, too!
