Good place to eat dinner at DTD?

We are planning on an afternoon/evening in DTD. Can someone recommend a place to eat? We have 5 year old twins and a 3 year old (all girls). I don't think they'd be scared of T-Rex, but wondering if they would like it. Also considering Cap-N Jack's. I haven't heard much about it though so do you guys think it's good? Appropriate for kids? Does it use the meal plan? Do any restaurants in DTD use the Dining Plan? We already have all our table credits planned out, but would possibly switch one table credit to this dinner since it would most likely be more $ than our lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe on another day. Any other recommendations for dinner at DTD?

One other quick question while I'm here....We'll be taking the ferry in from POR and we are wondering if it stops at the West Side, the Marketplace, or both? Thanks!

Well, if you can eat at a CS, we like Earl of Sandwich. Everyone gets a sandwich that they like then we go to Ghiradelli for Ice Cream.

My favorite place to eat at DTD is the House of Blues, my kids like it. Take a look at the menu

Another great place to use a CS credit is Wolfgang Puck Express. You order at the counter then sit down and the food is brought to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating. My whole family, even the picky eaters, found something they liked.

I second the WPE vote We ate there several times; it is awesome for CS, nice sit down place with a great menu.

WPE is pretty awesome. For TS, we really love Raglan Road. I feel we may be in the minority, but Captain Jacks didn't do it for me.

I was recently at T-Rex for the first time and it was the BEST food I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time! Those BBQ ribs were fantastic! So I recommend that.

We Raglan Road on our trip last February! I can not say enough that Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding makes it worth the trip!

Yes, Puck Express and Earl on are the dining plan and both are great. Express is different from the cafe up near Cirque, we liked it a lot. Less atmosphere at Earl but food was very good.

Another vote here for Wolfgang Puck express. This is without doubt our favourite CS in all of Disney World. We plan on eating there on our first night this time.

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck Express (the one in the Marketplace) or Earl of Sandwich. Both great food. T-Rex was good, considering it had only opened about 2 weeks prior to our trip..good food and service. It was LOUD in there though. Kids may be scared, the dinosaurs and the meteor shower are quite intense.

The boat from POR/POFQ only makes one stop at DTD, I believe it lets you off by Capn Jacks in the Marketplace. You'd have to get off there and walk to the West End, what's left of Pleasure Island, etc.

Went to Cap'n Jacks twice over the last 2 years. First time, my entire family loved it and voted it the best meal of the trip. Two of our family members weren't with us for the 1st 2 days, and we went there on the 1st night....so we "talked it up" to them the entire trip. Last year we went back (with every1) and we were all VERY disappointed. Different days, totally different experiences. Who knows what to think??!!
