Hello:

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice, clean orlando airport hotel for one night.

Thanks,

Deb.

I've stayed at the Marriot and it was very nice. I think it comes up on Priceline a lot. You may want to check www.biddingfortravel.com and see.

I'd just go with PL for a 3* hotel. There are a bunch of hotels just N of the airport that are all good.

Thanks, this sounds like a silly question but is it noisy at night, do the planes fly all night long.

*most* planes are in by midnight with the exception of a few internationa; flights. But they start right back up around 6AM. It can be pretty noisey.

We have stayed at all the PL 3*'s in the MCO area except the Crowne Plaza (we have stayed at Hyatt in the airport, Marriott, HI Select, Renaissance and Sheraton Suites), we have also stayed once at the Embassy Suites by the airport...and I have to say I have never heard any airport noise at any of those places while in the room (outside at the pools can be a different story, but it has still never been terribly annoying)... none of those properties are in the runway approach patterns.

I would not think noise will be a factor at any 3* hotel.

Thanks, what is there to do in the evening in that area, we are picking up a family member the next day at the airport. Someone said the airport itself has some shops and small restaurants. Maybe we'll be dead tired from the 22 hour drive. lol.

Why would the * matter about the noise? I certainly heard some airplane noise staying by the airport. I actually don't even live that close to the FT. Myers airport & hear the planes overhead at times.

I don't think there is a whole lot to do in the area... all of the hotels have nice pools...after 22 hours on the road I would go for a quick dip in the pool and then do some serious communicating with my pillow=).

CPM...I just think most hotels at that * level are adequately soundproofed for airport noise if they are adjacent to an airport. Certainly more than most homes probably are...and prehaps (although that was a guess on my part) more than the no-tell motel places might be. We have never had a problem with noise at any of the places we stayed near the airport... Embassy Suites, Marriott, Renaissance, HI Select and Hyatt (inside the airport).
