Good or bad experience on Disney bus transportation?

Just curious, from those of you who have returned from DW recently, how the bus system was doing. There had been a lot of negative talk about how bad it was when they converted to the bus on demand system. Disney said they were getting a handle on that and it should be improving. My question is....is it?

For those of you who have been in late May and June...how were your experiences on Disney transportation. Just curious if they are actually getting the "bugs" worked out as they say they are doing.

we just were there mid June. No problems with the buses. Never waited more than 5 minutes. My only comment is they go fast (hold on to those kids!), and take the turns hard. One bus driver was kind of funny...must have seen some of our faces. He promised us that they haven't tipped one yet!

LOL!:p

As ones used to public transportation, DH takes it every day for work, we found it excellent..

We never had to wait long, our hotel had a convenient stop, (All Star Sports), and they were prompt and courteous....

As usual: crowded, stinky, and hot. Combine that with hot and tired children, and you got all the makings of a miserable time. It got so bad waiting for the bus to dowtown disney, that after an hour wait people were taking cabs from the dolphin. This trip was one were I couldn't rent a car, and I hope it will be the last that I won't.

We stayed at ASMu Sunday, 7/1 - Wednesday, 7/4. We have always used and been satisfied with the Disney transportation in the past but this trip we were not overly impressed. Leaving the MK Monday afternoon for a break, we waited at least 1/2 hr. for a bus and leaving the park that night after the parade and fireworks, the lines waiting for the buses were unbelievable. And the waits for buses back to the resort from DD were long. We also had standing room only on buses more on this trip than ever before. The bus transportation is a wonderful convenience for those who don't wish to drive themselves around to the parks but it seems Disney needs to increase the number of buses they have to keep up with the increasing number of guests taking advantage of it. Maybe it's because we were staying at a "value" resort and they give those resorts lower priority.

We've never had any major problems with the WDW transportation system and we go several times a year. We were just there over Memorial Day weekend and never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus or boat.

In all my visits to WDW, I can only remember a couple of instances where we had to wait 20 minutes or more for a bus. We're just pretty lucky, I guess! :)
