The enemies of capital punishment care nothing at all about the victims of any crimes!!!!!!!!! They dont meet with those victims and see the impact it has on their lives, but they get all terry eyed over some scumbag who claims at the time of the sentencing that they are (what a bunch of BS)sorry for what they did and would do anything to make it up to the victim.
What does make them feel good is their belief that they are better than those of us who want proper punishment meted out to match the crime that took place.

I know I probably will piss some of you off but so be it! I for one do not believe in the Death Penalty due to the fact that In my Own OPINION, it is wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. Yes it was sad that this man took a life but that does not give others the right to take his. A life long sentence yes but death I am a parent of two and yes I would be devestated if someone ended my childs life so violently but, knowing GOD and his will I would depend on him to give me strength and guidance not seek revenge by taking a life. You are all entitled to your own opinions but, I can't help but say some of you really have that GOOD OLD BOY MENTALLITY FROM BACK IN THE DAY UNCLEKYLE I believe YOU asked where is the rope and tree which represents LYNChINGs back in the day for minorities especially African Americans who lost their lives because of ignorance and intolerance. Westerfield's recidivism rate will go away once he is rightly fully put to death!! And of course a " eye for and eye" is the right and moral thing to do!!
And then of course those who claim to be enlightened( of course they show how naive they are)try to equate racism(some just love that race card dont they) with the proper carrying out of a criminal sentence and would perfer to give the taxpayers a life snetence by keeping a criminal alive for decades having a fine living on our dime where they will be well fed/well clothed and can even get a college degree on the public. That is two wrongs, not the death of a convicted criminal!!

I don't think anyone who is pro-life should celebrate anyone being killed, government sanctioned or not.

I think it is hypocritical for me to be anti-abortion, and pro death penalty.

I used to support the death penalty, but I realized that the death penalty devalues human life in the same way I feel abortion does, and to support it is wrong.

If we believe killing a human being is wrong, how is it that killing that murderer is a good method of punishment if we are against killing? We have just committed the same act that we supposedly do not support.

I think that America does not place a high enough value on life and is very shallow for seeking death to satisfy our need for revenge.

I didn't say what I think should happen as I never lost a child to death but can understand all the peoples feelings that have posted as I would evenually want to see the sob to rot in hell I just I dont know if I would like him to sit in jail and rot for long time first.

SOCIETY can be protected by LIFE sentences without the possibility of parole. Most of the civilized world chooses such a course. It assures that these animals will not harm an innocent again. Of course, when the masses crave VENGEANCE they're not appeased by such security..........they "need" their piece of flesh ........

God know's I am not trying to step on anyone toes by saying this but, here goes IMHO people and myself included should watch what we say. To wish violence on a person could only come around back at you. It is not right to wish harm on another no matter what a person did. I been thru hell with my mother inlaw and her mother and yes I wished that bad things would happen to her but u know what, when I found God and gave him all of my problems I felt as if a huge bolder of burdens lifted off my shoulders. See people I learned that when I was wishing bad things and thinking evil thoughts about them, I gave the Devil, evil what ever you want to call it free will to run in my mind and that was not healthy. I could easily hate them but they are not worth me destroying my blessings. When I gave it to God he took it over and you better believe that they have reaped so much of what they did to me and the sad thing about it is their sins came back on their daughter who is going thru hell this very second. I am not passing judgement on any of you because I am not perfect but, one thing I do know is this that man has a family who is hurting also. I am pretty sure his parents did not raise him to be a murderer. I am sure his kids did not think their dad could do something so horrible. THEY ARE HURTING ALSO. Some of you think more of WDW than you think of a human life. Yes he was wrong but who are you and me to judge him. We all have sinned the only perfect one is God himself. To the Hang em High members it is sad that some of you think so viciously about this man. Some of you want this man to die so badly that you are really destroying your blessings by what your saying. Don't you know that those harsh words can come back to you or someone you love. Put yourself in his families shoes. IMHO I don't think you would want your child to be put to death. I know if I was on a Jury I could not put that burdan on anyone.

I'm sorry there is a big difference between an innocent life (baby) and a murderer. You can chose NOT to receive the death penalty..easy... don't commit a capital crime. The decision is just and legal, I support it.

and don't twist my words. i'm not saying im against the death penalty, and im not saying im for it. im just saying that it's NEVER happy when there's loss of human life.
