Bad news - please send pixie dust my way. I just got ordered to appear at a trial during that time for a work-related lawsuit and may have to cancel the trip.

I don't know what County/State you live in, but where I am in Ca. one can request a postponement. I know, for I had just begun a new job at the time, and could not afford to miss one day, not yet anyway. So I called to see if I might be allowed to delay a possible appearance. Fortunately it was granted. Good Luck!

Hmm, having trouble posting. Anyway, it's a kind of complicated situation but I am hoping for some sort of consideration. I don't know if I will get it, but have let our city attorney know of my plans...as a city employee part of a much bigger picture I may not have an option.

I may not know for sure until two days before we're supposed to leave and I have been "encouraged" to reschedule my vacation but I don't want to do that if I don't have to! The worst would be to cancel and then find out I don't need to testify.

So, like I said before- bring on the pixie dust!
