The good news is that I purchased our airline tickets from Portland, ME, to Orlando yesterday. Non-stop for $94 each way, a pretty darn good deal for Portland. I'm so excited! We'll be spending our 8th wedding anniversary and celebrating our birthdays in Disney!
The bad news? At 3:00 this morning my husband woke me up asking where all the space heaters were. Our furnace died. We're 90% sure it's the heat exchanger, which we've had problems with before. It will need to be replaced and we're sure it will cost hundreds of dollars. Probably about as much as our airfare.
If we had known the furnace would die 9 hours after purchasing our airline tickets, we probably wouldn't have purchased the airline tickets. Plus, it's a weekend, so getting it fixed might have to wait till Monday.
I'm so bummed. And, I'm a bit cold. Our house is about 60-64 degrees with 4 space heaters going, but there are major cold spots!
Anyone have a Thermopride heat exchanger lying around?

hot coffee,
group hugs for body heat,
jumping jacks to get the blood flowing,
hot soup to keep your insides warm,
and lots of pixie dust that your furnace gets fixed quickly! Oh, and none of this
because they might freeze onto your cheeks!
