watching the news this morning, it says Holiday Inn will honor all 1200 reservations that were made with the pricing mistake. That means we all get to go to WDW for very cheap.

IMHO, I hope I don't see anyone offering this reservation on Ebay or anything like that. If you cannot, won't stay at that hotel, please make it easier on their hotel and let them rent out the rooms for full price.

I'm just curious:)...did you get a room at the HI at the $1 rate?
We didn't ... we sure tried;)

I understand your sentiment about cancelling any unwanted reservations...it's interesting that Katie Couric just suggested that people do that very thing, ie, sell their reservations, rather than cancel them and let the hotel re-sell that room at a higher rate.

I posted this on another thread.

They rented out 1208 room nights...

See my calculations:

Just a quick calculation:

They have 323 rooms...

If they rent then for 6 months that's 58140 nights of accomadations.

Over that same 6 months (180 days) they rented these LOW rates for 1208 room nights.

What percentage of rooms did they rent out for real cheap...

0.02%.....Wonder what their advertising budget is?

There is no way these rooms would have been all full for those dates. The hotel has a new name and has been closed for almost a year...They might even benefit from this exposure...Just a thought

I agree with you and the hotel will also benefit from the people staying there at that low rate. I know that I will eat in their restaurant and spend money in the hotel since my rate was so cheap, may even splurge this time and order room service, LOL!!!!!!!!

So is it 1200 reservations or 1200 nights they rented out? Big difference.

Confirmed 1208 nights worth of rooms...Not 1208 reservations.
