Good neighbour hotels

Has anyone stayed at the Desert Inn? I am looking for a hotel that will accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids (4 and 6). It looks like it is reasonably cheap for what it offers . . . . Any tips would be great!

We've stayed there multiple times. It's fine - clean rooms, fairly sparse continental breakfast (all starch), slow elevators, kinda iffy-looking pool, fantastic location, little fridge and micro, sink separate from tub/toilet, tight parking. Overall, we are happy with the value, but it isn't a deluxe accommodation or anything, just a solid 2-star motel.
